Dennis Prager talked about this in his 2012 book “Still the Best Hope”. There’s a war of the world views: islamo-fascist, liberal secular, and Judeo-Christian American.
Liberal secular have been fighting Judeo-Christian American so long that they can’t see it is nearly weak/limp. Their reflexive sympathy for the perceived underdog causes them to overlook Islam’s violent past and regular terrorist acts, blaming it on poverty and assuming they’ll convert to liberal/secular once “educated”.
And the liberal-secular loves the Muslim as help in attacking the Judeo-Christian American ethos. “I want to take down your Christmas stuff, no, this isn’t hatred of religion, look, this monotheist Muslim agrees with me!”
Liberal secularists also support Islamic enclaves because they see every culture as superior to Judeo-Christian American, and this is why the Obama administration is distributing refugees throughout mid-sized red cities to disrupt them and financially burden them while using them to force change toward the “progressive” goal of weaker Judeo-Christian American institutions and a larger state.
The insanity is ignoring the fact that many of the Muslims are not assimilating, nor are many ethnic minority groups, because they’ve hit the density that they can form their own enclaves. Muslims do this more than others due to religious reinforcements like don’t be friends with the infidel, Muslim women can only marry Muslim men. Liberals also ignore the fact that Islam is a totalitarian system with strong religious, political and social reinforcements that prevent people from leaving in a way a conservative becoming liberal (or vice versa) doesn’t. When leaving Islam possibly risks your life, costs you your family and children, denies you an inheritance and contact with former peers ... they rarely leave. That liberal secularists are in their mind submitting to Islam by giving them welfare payments, free housing, Muslim only prayer rooms at school and foot baths in airports, reinforces the Muslims’ perception of superiority and keeps them working with liberals until they can take power.
Liberals thus are ensuring their own suicide, because Islam calls for the death of atheists, homosexuals, pagans, adulterers - a large percentage of the Democratic party. But reality doesn’t matter when liberals base their value judgements on how they feel.
