Had almost an inch of rain this morning but any other rain that was even close to the area missed us. Might get some more tomorrow but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Sure would be nice to get some. We’re desperately dry here.
I just took a sheet of cardboard, cut about 15 1 inch squares and glued them together one at a time and slipped them under the mechanism that holds the float up. The leaking seems to be slowly coming to a stop. Seems 12 squares has the water leak stopped. It will be a pain removing the lid each time, but it works so far. d:o)
And I can go downstairs if need be, or in my Mom’s bathroom. BUT, mine is the best because it’s a tall one....extra height. So much easier on the bad knees.
