Male athletes earn more because sports is entertainment and they are entertainers. The more entertaining you are, the more profitable as well. Most female sports are boring.

Most female sports are boring.

Women's beach volleyball is so much better than the male counterpart where the only thing bouncing is the ball.

“Most female sports are boring.”

Agreed. Unless of course you are comparing the NFL to the Lingerie Football League. ;)

Not exactly. The more tickets you sell, and the more viewers you attract to televised sports, the more money you make. Men buy most of the tickets. If women's sports are to reach parity, women need to start buying more tickets. Maybe they could even start bringing their boyfriends.

And for whatever reason, women’s sports just haven’t made an impact.

I actually have enjoyed women’s college basketball games, as much as the men’s teams.

But the women’s teams just don’t attract much attention.

At San Diego State, for example, the men’s team sells out their 12,000+ seat arena, while the women’s team is lucky to get 1,000 fans to a game, in the same arena. I’ve attended some games where the paid attendance is less than 500 people.

So what can women or liberals say?? You can’t force someone to take an interest in, and attend games for women’s sports.

I almost become an intermittent narcoleptic when watching women's basketball. What a snorer.

I’m a female and I think watching women’s college basketball is like watching the average junior high boys’ game.

Haven’t seen as much women’s soccer or volleyball, but they don’t seem as boring probably because IMO those sports require a more limited skill set - games are simpler - so women are able to play them well. Not saying that women vb or soccer players aren’t in great shape etc.

OTOH, I would much rather watch women’s figure skating than men’s.

Most female sports are played “technically” better than men. But men do more exciting things.

Most people do not want to see great basic skills.
