Dr. Drew ‘gravely concerned’ about Hillary Clinton’s ‘1950-level’ health care

TV personality Dr. David Andrew Pinsky said Wednesday that he is “gravely concerned” about Hillary Clinton’s health and the treatments she’s received, which he described as “1950-level care.”

Appearing on KABC’s “McIntyre in the Morning,” Dr. Pinsky, a board-certified internist more commonly known as Dr. Drew, said he and another doctor reviewed Mrs. Clinton’s medical evaluations and came to some startling conclusions.

“Based on the information that she has provided and her doctors have provided, we were gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care,” he said in the interview, transcribed by the Washington Free Beacon.

“Both of us concluded that if we were providing the care that she was receiving, we’d be ashamed to show up in a doctor’s lounge. We’d be laughed out,” he added. “She’s receiving sort-of 1950-level care by our evaluation.”

Later in the interview, Dr. Drew mentioned that Mrs. Clinton suffered from two episodes of deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, which he described as a very common problem that normally results in blood clots in the leg.

“She also has hypothyroidism, and she’d been treated for hypothyroidism with something called Armour Thyroid, which is very unconventional and something that we used to use back in the ‘60s,” Dr. Drew said. “And by the way, wow, Armour Thyroid sometimes has some weird side effects.

Coumadin was developed at the University of Wisconsin in the 1940s and is basically the same as rat poison. I went on it for a brief time while I was undergoing cardioversion for my atrial fibrillation and wound up pissing blood. There are many other alternative blood thinning products on the market for a reason.

I now use a natural vitamin nattokinase in conjunction with aspirin and a healthy diet to reduce my stroke risk. And I ha also run marathons, so there are better ways to stay healthy than using Warfarin

Armour Thyroid is not unconventional, but only rarely used today. However, for some people with hypothyroidism, it is the only type of hormone replacement they can tolerate.

she's probably being treated through it ... thus ... she's dying.

I said this last week or two weeks ago when Dr. Drew mouthed off last week about Trump’s mental state. I’ll say it again:

No reputable doctor would deliver a diagnosis on a patient without examining that patient first. Unless Dr. Drew has examined Hillary (and Trump), he should keep his mouth shut.

Precisely. With the Clintons and their supporters, the buck never stops with Billary.
Here the TV doctor points his finger at her real doctors who are actually having to examine her, brave souls at least:
“Please turn your head and cough, Your Excellency.”
“F*** you!”

I lived in Wisconsin when Morning on the Farm radio show was touting Warfarin as the best rat poison.

In 2009 had cardioversion for my A-Fib. Coumadin had me p***ing burgundy wine. Doc said stop taking it. That worked.

Then open heart surgery in 2011 & solved it all. Of course now I’m diagnosed with congestive heart failure due to my decades of poor lifestyle choices. Murder will out.

Correct. My cardiologist insist I stay on Coumadin and is not convinced the newer drugs are proven.

I do not want to alarm anyone, but has anyone noticed the handicap ramps going in all over the White House?

It’s over.

I’ve been on Coumadin for 26 years. I haven’t pissed blood once.

I don’t go to crazy lengths to watch my diet. I eat regular meals and try not to go overboard.

Using something like nattokinase and aspirin would not help me. I have major clotting issues that involved up to 75% of my lungs and the rest of my body down, at two points in my life.

I couldn’t run a marathon today due to the loss of my two main veins, one in each leg. Blood pools in my lower extremities.

My legs swell if I stand or sit for too long a period of time, but can be reduced significantly with the use of support socks.

I can do exercise in moderation over short periods of time. The endurance activities are out.

If I did what you’re doing, I wouldn’t be here.

Thanks, I think your physician is on the right track.

Coumadin has been around for decades. It has a proven very low risk therapeutic use.

I do have to get my blood tested about every four to six weeks.

I’ve been on the same dose for over a decade, and the testing comes up clean every time.

The drug touted to replace warfarin is NOT interchangeable in some instances. For instance any patient with heart valve transplants and perhaps other surgery as well. The new drug is NOT prescribed....the old reliable warfarin is the one docs choose. Inconvenient when eating...watch your diet! and frequent blood tests for INR. This information from a doctor when asked why not the new drug rather than the old?

As DJT would say, ‘Believe me! Believe Me!’

You make a good point about certain situations ruling out the newer medications.

In using this drug there are only two drawbacks....watch your diet NO GREEN LEAFIES, a never-ending appointment at the lab for INR tests. And a third...careful, even a small scrape will cause bleeding profusely and bruises appear as if by magic.

All in all it is better than the alternative were it not taken.
