Every day, Lamont looks at the sky and wonders what that bright thing is.
They blame Republicans.
I would posit to Mr. Hill;
If a political party’s power is derived from being the “Party of the Poor”, then is it not in that party’s best interest to insure that the “ poor” stay that way and increase in numbers as much as possible?

Just because Lamont has a PhD doesn’t mean he’s smart.
And actually I maybe should not have made that sort of reference to “Dragnet” as these cities could certainly do well to have modern day dedicated Joe Fridays and Bill Gannons and Frank Smiths in their police departments.
There is some truth in what he said. The problem isn’t how they vote per se, it’s the mindset that accompanies that voting pattern. Although I know many exceptions, as a group, blacks lack both the mindset and personal virtues (self-reliance, thrift, work ethic) for success. That has nothing to do with their skin color and everything to do with black culture and their attitudes about parenting and family, law, work, education, etc. It’s also a massive indictment of black churches. Nothing will change until they accept responsibility for their own successes and failures. They must understand that no man can get ahead by government handout. They must come to realize that welfare plantation life does nothing but beat them down. While they may think the answer is more redistribution, but in reality that way of life robs them of initiative and pride.
I’m pretty sure that Hill understands cause-and-effect and knows the Democrat Party is hurting Americans of African descent.
So why does he say stupid stuff?
He’s a coward.

You even talk others into giving you more money to freshen the air after the steaming bag of stink is removed.

Who would plaster his Twitter page with police mug shot photos of convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur? Fox News contributor Marc Lamont Hill did. At least until David Horowitz and Accuracy in Media took notice and wrote about it. Now the page features photos of boxing great Muhammad Ali. Hill's MySpace page is also gone.
There are other changes as well. The tributes to Shakur and black racist Khallid Muhammad, known as "America's Black Hitler," have disappeared from his web pages. The articles were saved, however, and can be found here.

He advised blacks that "there are no good crackers, and if you find one, kill him before he changes." He told a Donahue television audience in May 1994 that "there is a little bit of Hitler in all white people." He characterized black conservatives as "boot-licking, butt-licking, bamboozled, half-baked, half-fried, sissified, punkified, pasteurized, homogenized Nigger[s]." On May 21, 1997 he told a San Francisco State University audience that the "white man" is "a no-good bastard. He's not a devil, the white man is the Devil." In September 1997 he said, "If you say you're white, goddammit I'm against you. If you're a Jew, I'm against you. Whatever the hell you want to call yourself, I'm against you."
