Donald Trumps campaign shake-up is being seen on Capitol Hill as yet another shot across the bows of the GOP establishment.
The changes in effect demote Paul Manafort, the campaign chairman who had been urging Trump to show more restraint, and promote pollster Kellyanne Conway to the position of campaign manager.
But the real bombshell came with the recruitment of Steve Bannon, an executive with the conservative news organization Breitbart, as the campaigns CEO. Breitbart has been synonymous with attacks on the GOP leadership, especially in recent weeks and months. A particular foe: Speaker Paul Ryan.

This is not how it was supposed to go.
Got a little tired of Rush today. His schtick was that Trump had a great speech yesterday (he did) but that he stepped on the news with this campaign shakeup.
Well, 1) the media will NOT report what Trump said, regardless
2) Trump probably had to come out with this because it was leaking anyway, and 3) this shakes them up badly.
Think ahead to the shake-up in the White House Press Corp. when TRUMP becomes President. THAT is why Capitol Hill is wringing their hands. LOL
Good. Cases of Depends on the way
GOP establishment is now panicked enough to run into Hillary’s waiting arms.
Like they weren’t gonna do it all along. Trump is going for broke.
He is.
He is getting ready for the White House.
It seems to me that Trump is “adding” to his team instead of “shaking up”....
You are right. All the MSM was reporting on Trump’s speech was that he delivered it to a white audience. That would have been the meme all day, and worse, if they’d continued. At least Trump derailed the MSM’s latest, ‘He’s a racist,’ pigpile.
Yep!..Looks that way to me....but he has said over and over again the need for people to be “flexible”...and so is he...obviously. These next weeks are going to be very interesting...I think we'll see Trump measured and focused 'when he chooses', and otherwise continue as he has throughout his campaign.
It's his very unpredictability that is keeping people on their toes. They want to "know" how and what he will respond to or not..he's not going to give them that.
A presidential candidate should not have to fight against his own party and the opposition party as well. It drains vital resources.
In every other election, the losing primary candidates are out campaigning for the nominee and bringing in their supporters. That’s not happening with Cruz, Kasich, Bush, and Rubio.
First good move Trump's made since he took in that loser Pence.
Bannon is going to start kicking the tables over. The tables need kicking over.
Why did Limbaugh use the snarky term “Trumpbart” when referring to Breitbart. Why would a pro-Trump site offend Limbaugh? Does Limbaugh have a daily or weekly quota to stab Trump to keep his handlers happy? He only had three days this week, so maybe it is a weekly quota. He used Trumpbart at least twice, if not three times. He wanted to make his point stand out.
Those four are vermin. You forgot Carly.
This is all good. The GOPe are ordering their Depends as it is going to be a long time until the election!
.....”It seems to me that Trump is adding to his team instead of shaking up....
Well that’s just it....also people are underestimating the size of his campaign now....but that’s ok, let them think what they will...Trumps going for the touch down!...and he’s going to be knocking down whoever is in his way....
I love it. We are to the “fix bayonets” part already! Oh, to see the faces in the enemy trenches when they hear the long roll of steel on steel...
I bet the bedwetters are going through a lot of depends. LOL!
