Venezuelan police crushed and chopped up nearly 2,000 shotguns and pistols in a Caracas city square on Wednesday, as the new interior minister relaunched a long-stalled gun control campaign in one of the world's most crime-ridden countries.
Interior Minister Nestor Reverol said the event marked the renewal of efforts to disarm Venezuelans, through a combination of seizures and a voluntary program to swap guns for electrical goods.

I’ve chatted with Venezuelans about why there hasn’t been a revolution against the government. What they told me scared me silly. The government armed the under and criminal classes by mass handing out fire arms and ammo to them while at the same time they start seizing guns from people who had them registered (middle class folks). This prevents a revolution because the criminal class is effectively state enforcers.
Hillary could do the same here. Remember all those guns and ammo federal agencies have bought up? It wouldn’t be hard to hand them out to BLM and Hispanic gangs. If the country came to revolution it would be the middle class vs the police, elements of the military, and the entire under class.
Isn’t that Interesting.
