Donald Trumps campaign got another shakeup this morning, part of a reset that includes the first TV advertising in Florida and other battlegrounds.
Trump has brought on Breitbart News Stephen Bannon as CEO, a man the campaign heralded for his combative style, and elevated Kellyanne Conway to campaign manager. Paul Manafort will remain as chairman.
Conway is a former pollster for the Tampa Bay Times.
I have known Steve and Kellyanne both for many years. They are extremely capable, highly qualified people who love to win and know how to win, Trump said in a statement. I believe were adding some of the best talents in politics, with the experience and expertise needed to defeat Hillary Clinton in November and continue to share my message and vision to Make America Great Again.
Trumps campaign also confirmed it would begin buying ads later this week in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, where he has seen Clinton pull ahead in varying degrees.
Trump has not placed a single general election ad in Florida while Clinton and her allies have showered the state with $27 million...

Kellyanne as Campaign Manager and Paul Manafort as Campaign Chairman are both seasoned and effective media spokespeople, and she will provide a female perspective as well. The more Trump staffers who can go on any channel and hold their own against anyone, the better.
Bannon is an interesting cat, as he controls one of the biggest “new media” empires and has an insider perspective rather than being in front of the camera.
Even a Biden-level genius can see these changes are all about pushing the message out and getting Trump elected.
Trump has called in a team to Join Manaporte to unleash living hell on Hillary. She is very ill and being propped up when she walks and propped up when she sits. She has paid associates “interview “ he for her largely ignored POD cast. but she will not answer uncontrolled questions because she thinks slowly. She has Blown $50 million of soros money on ads that are not working as she has plummeted 8% in the polls in 14 days. In short, “she has shot her wad”. Now it’s Trump’s turn and it will be withering fire with a politically rich target — hillary the unindicted criminal and liar taking massive blows. Trump will kick her ass.

I am curious to know the type of ads (pro Trump vs attack on Hillary) as well as the frequency he is running them.
Has anyone seen these ads or does someone have a link?
Hopefully The Smartest Woman in the World has peaked even with all the help she gets and now Trump will really take off.
The combination of Hillary ads, with the non stop media onslaught, will just be beginning to wear really thin; when our man begins really firing back.
Remember, we have a mountain of ammunition. All they have are lies, distortions, and appeals to every base emotion. The last would be effective, ordinarily. But the Left has had everything their own way, but have still not been able to deliver to their dependents, in anything like the extent promised.
We need to keep cool; keep focused; and keep on target--with a rising intensity.
FINALLY.
As I have been saying for weeks, the strategy Trump used in the primary - use rallies and twitter to male news and ride friendly news media - will not work in the general election. The media is his deadly enemy and he needs to act accordingly. Elevating seasoned media pros - and most importantly running around the media and speaking directly to low info voters and fence-sitters via hard hitting shock and awe advertising - is the way to go.
Let’s hope it’s not too late.
What happened to that CNN “story” about Manafort taking $100 million in bribes from Ukraine? If Trump is working for Putin, as the MSM alleges, how would that work? And where would Ukraine get $100 mill in the first place? The left just throws mud at the wall to see what sticks, and never pay any price for their lies.
I was flipping between stations really early this morning & was surprised to hear the regular crew on Morning Joe very much praising Kelly Ann Conway’s ability. They seemed to suggest it was just what Trump needed. Surprised & impressed.
Kelly Ann answered that question this morning. She said it’s about 50/50. Pro Trump. Anti ILLary
No, it’s called strategy. Trump is a planner and strategist. He doesn’t piss away money to make people “feel” good.
“Finally!” Huh? The public has a short memory. The further out running ads from the election, the more wasted dollars spent. Trump became a billionaire, international business tycoon by strategic thinking and planning; not wasting money ineffectively. All the impatient geniuses should demand that Trump use up his advertising assets now so that we can all “feel” better.
my view is that, nobody pays attention until the end of simmer vacation. Relax, Trump is doing it right.
Trump and staff made it clear after the primary that they would not be doing heavy advertising or opening Headquarters across the state...UNTIL...after the Florida state office primaries.
They are using all the oxygen until the vote on August 30th. The radio is all ads and the streets are littered 3 deep on all vacant property. Volunteers are often the same people and there would be a shortage of help. The original target was to run full scale after Sept. 1.
This is the message received here in early spring!
We have all been wishing there was something to do earlier, but the offices opened last week and this was to staff them with Volunteers and get people signed up for activities starting soon...Many before the original Sept 1 target date.
Trump staff and many of us have been registering new voters for weeks...last time that was shown to be a weakness. In 2012 the Democrats registered many more thousands of new voters.
I do not believe this will be a give away the free stuff type campaign...we understand that those who come to the HQ for outside events will get shirts and wear them to walk, sign wave, or visit special events etc.
I never did agree that giving handfuls of signs and bumper stickers that sat in garages and were plastered on walls or were left over, new and unused as souvenirs after the campaign was productive. Waste does not seem to be the TRUMP way either. UNDER BUDGET AND AHEAD OF TIME!
Please remember how many Cruz, Rubio, and Bush supporters here in Florida have to be convinced to not hinder the campaign. We fight it every day!
Sorry this is long but there are a lot of facts to consider before criticizing the Campaign Staff. PASS IT ON, PLEASE
