Farmers’ Almanac Crushes Dreams Of Global Warming Zealots With ‘ICE COLD WINTER’ Forecast

Using their “almost 200 century-old formula,” the editors of the “time-tested and generation-approved” Farmers’ Almanac are predicting a frost-bound, Siberian winter for two-thirds of the United States

“Return of the Ice Cold Winter” is how the 2017 edition of the famed annual publication characterizes the impending chill, according to a press release.

“Winter is coming!” the Farmers’ Almanac editors announce, as they advise that this year might be a good time to “splurge on a snow blower.” (RELATED: US College Professor Demands Imprisonment For Climate-Change Deniers)

The “amazingly accurate” long-range forecast — starting on page 65 — covers September 2016 through December 2017. It prognosticates “exceptionally cold conditions” for several regions of the United States including the Midwest, the Great Lakes and Middle Atlantic regions, the Ohio Valley, and the entire Northeast.

“February is the month to really be ready for cold conditions,” Farmers’ Almanac editor Peter Geiger warns. “According to our long-range outlook, many places will see downright frigid temperatures this month, some as low as 40 degrees below zero!” (RELATED: NOT THE GINGERS! Ski enthusiasts in New England will be ecstatic with mounds of snowfall as well — though also, presumably, pretty cold.

Well, as long as I can snowshoe up in the Gatineau Hills and skate on the Rideau Canal this coming winter, I am a happy man.

And then there’s this thing about the low sunspot activity.

I’m not laughing until I get the generator in and the wood stove hooked back up. Because when I can see my breath and there’s four feet of snow on the ground I’ll be listening to some eco-dweeb claiming that five below zero is two degrees warmer than before and regretting that I can’t choke that sucker over the Internet.

I just started following the farmers almanac predictions a few years ago. I’m convinced it is compiled by time travelers from the future.

I don’t doubt it. We may be heading into a La Nina with a heavy polar jet stream.

I live in western NY and the OFA couldn't have been more wrong predicting last winter:We had the warmest winter in 100 years and snowfall was way below normal.

Gonna be a great year for sledding in Montpellier to St. Zenon. 200+ miles per day like it’s nothing.

Need to get me sled reserved for the winter.

Surely we can do better in refuting the climate change lies than quote the Farmers Almanac. That is embarrassing.

Regardless. Liberals could be freezing in a mini ice age and would simply forget about their man made global warming scam. Just like they forgot about how we were supposed to already be in an ice age by 1980. Etc.

Those people are seriously mentally deficient. It would be comical if it weren't so pathetic.

It’s my fault. I KNEW this would happen. Earlier this year I moved to, ‘Der Hinterlands’ with little chance of escape from Thanksgiving through Memorial Day.

But that’s OK. ;)

Didn’t you get the memo? It is “Climate Change” now not global warming. Global warming was too limiting. It covers nearly all scenarios to allow socialistic control of everything.

Time will tell.

With all the predictions for such a cold winter, I’m expecting a warmer than average one.

"That is embarrassing"

Really.

Everybody knows that a colder and longer winter means we will have to burn more fossil fuel to stay warm, which generates more CO2, which causes more global warming.

Everybody knows that photosynthesis is sharply curtailed in the winter and a colder and longer winter means even less photosynthesis which means less CO2 is being removed from the atmosphere by plants.

Last winter in Northern Illinois was too good to be true, so I expected there would be payback this winter.
