Liz Cheney Faces Wyoming Primary in Bid to Return to Washington
The New York Times ^ | August 16, 2016 | CARL HULSE

Will a Cheney be returning to power in Washington? Liz Cheney, that is, a daughter of Dick Cheney, the former vice president, and the favorite in Tuesday’s crowded Republican primary for Wyoming’s at-large House seat.

Ms. Cheney opted to try for the House seat being vacated by Representative Cynthia M. Lummis after Ms. Cheney’s 2014 Senate primary bid against Mike Enzi, the popular Republican incumbent, spurred Republican infighting and raised questions about her ties to Wyoming after spending most of her life in the Washington area. She ultimately withdrew. Ms. Lummis’s retirement opened the door for Ms. Cheney to try to reclaim the House seat once held by father without having to challenge an incumbent.

Others in the state were not ready to simply surrender to her and her well-known last name. She faces seven opponents, including Tim Stubson, a State House leader, and Leland Christensen, a state senator. Mr. Christensen received a last-minute endorsement from Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, who noted that Mr. Christensen “lives in Wyoming and walks the walk as a proud Westerner.”

Actually, the former V.P. Cheney said that he could possibly support Trump! He said this a couple of months ago. Former Sec. of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, said he could also support him around the same time.

Her opponent was endorsed by Rand Paul, which is the kiss of death. His bating record on endorsements is hovering around .000.

Pretty much expected, open seat and Cheney name and all.

Thanks. Dick Cheney gets no respect from me and hasn’t for a long time. He’s a Globalist and CFR.

She had 3 serious opponents, which was the main problem.

Some sexcellent news I don’t remember if I mentioned yet.

Washington state had it’s stupid all party “blanket” primary and August 2 (and it’s all by mail, yuck so the results took time) and guess what, 2 Republicans and 3 rats ran for State Treasurer and the 2 Republicans placed first and second!! Which means the GOP is assured of picking up the office, which they haven’t won since 1952 (and before that 1928)!

Utah Poll from PPP(D)

Trump 39%, Clinton 24%, Johnson 12%, McMullin 9%, Castle 2%, Stein 1%.

Trump up slightly from last Utah poll. McMuffin taking nothing from Trump, as I surmised, he’s hurting Johnson in the state.

I see the GOP didn’t bother to even field a candidate for Attorney General (an office they have interestingly held frequently), but 2 Dems made the runoff for Schools Chief, which is a position the GOP should strongly contest.

The bad news, however, is that the GOP nominee for Governor is a RINO NeverTrumper asshat. Kiss that one goodbye. WA hasn’t had a decent Governor since Conservative DINO Dixy Lee Ray served her single term from 1977-81. Too bad we can’t give the state to Canada (or to the point, everything west of the Cascades, AKA the Black Hole of Puget).

Re Bill Bryant, at the risk of repeating myself (Djou) so what? He seems like a decent candidate with half a chance.

No one AG yes, very unfortunate.

Educator commissioner, why are all these in every state where it’s elected “non-partisan”? That universally helps the rats.

Incumbent Sec of State is R, the only one, she narrowly led in the primary. State Senator running for the open Auditor post. Weak seeming candidate for Land Commish, also open, has a website that Politics1 doesn’t list.

Insurance Commish, D incumbent, GOP nominee is the Snohomish county fire commish but he had no website I can find. D inc got 57% in primary.

LT Governor is final open with Brad Owen retiring. GOP canidate is a Radio Talk show host and “R’ealtor, not optimistic. The rat is named Cyrus Habid, there’s a name.

Odds of winning estimate

Treasurer, 100%!

Sec of State 53%

Auditor 48%

Governor 40%

Lt Governor 30%

Land Commish 25%

Insurance Commish 10%

AG and Education, 0%

As with Djou, it informs us that this guy is not going to be with us or the agenda of the coming Trump Administration and will be actively working to undermine it. If it were Pig Vomit that was the Presidential nominee or some other leftist RINO vomitus ringer, they’d be falling all over themselves to endorse. I’m done endorsing the enemies of Conservatism within the GOP.

All it tells me is that they are afraid being tied to Trump will hurt their chances in their filthy rat-ridden jurisdictions, and in that I can hardly blame them.

Neither position has a thing to do with federal politics.

It’s worse. Their position on the race make it plain they prefer Clinton to Trump, a de facto endorsement. It’s treasonous. We don’t owe these traitors support of any kind.
