I hope he educates Trump on how make sure has a longer attention span and stops the crappy comments he makes daily.

You know what? We have to listen to that kind of absolute vile stupidity from every outlet known to mankind.

It's utter bullshit, and you need to knock it the hell off.

And then blow it out your ear. Sideways.

yeah, if Trump keeps going the way he’s going, he’ll never beat Bush in the primaries....

Thanks for the concern.

And Bill Clinton, who has been accused of rape, self-exposure, and promiscuous infidelity is reportedly advising Hillary Clinton.

Yep, he’s just the ticket then...

The 1988 campaign was a great campaign for a bad candidate. The last well run Republican campaign on record. We also don't know how Ailes is underneath once he no longer has to please the international Rupert Murdoch. He was VERY important in Rush Limbaugh's career.

I think this is a positive for Trump.

Say what you will about Ailes but he does know the media. He helped Nixon get elected in 1968, founded the Rush Limbaugh show in 1988 and started Fox News in 1996. Pretty good track record if you ask me.

Well sure she did, but she had a personal angle in it. I don’t trust her either.

The fact is, he didn’t take her down. He was deemed to be damaged goods. He was forced to resign.

This isn’t a guy I want on my team.

Neither is she. I’m glad when these folks destroying themselves in public. Then it’s our duty to avoid them.

He’s basically an unknown at this point. He presided over FoxNews sinking into the depths of oblivion. I think that’s rather clear. So why go anywhere near the guy?

Trump has been doing very well up until now. He doesn’t need the guy.

If we start seeing things leaked at this point, he’ll be my number one suspect.

Spot on!!!

Ailes headed up one of the most successful media stories of our time, or ever, over the past two decades.

Is he a nice person? Who knows?

Half of these whiners grumbling about Trump possibly receiving prep help would be claiming how brilliant this idea were, if were Hellary, ¡Jeb! or cRuz doing this.

Whatever dude.

It appears you're way overthinking this.

You don't actually have any clue whether this is a good thing or not. Like Reagan, Trump is not infallible, but his instincts seem to be as good, they're certainly a lot better than yours. I'll trust what he's doing because his track record is simply amazing.

And just because I'm disagreeing with you doesn't mean I'm trashing you, relax a little on that front if you can.

You and I have argued constantly over the last ten or more years. During that time I proposed exactly what Trump is now proposing only to have you and others trash me for it.

Now you jump in here to tell me his instincts are a lot better than mine. Look in the mirror.

My instincts are just fine, and we don’t have the slightest clue if this guy will blow up in our face or not. In that type of a situation, you take the free pass.

There’s no downside to the free pass, and potential political death by taking this guy on promise.

NO!

I never once trashed you for Trump's immigration policies, not once.

I did, however, trash you for lying over, and over again about Sarah Palin being an amnesty shill, which she was not.

You were wrong, I was right, and you're still pissed off about it.

Go pound sand, you sound like a whiny Ted Cruz with hurt feelings. Get over yourself, this is not about you, and you've been wrong far more than you've been right.

Hell, the last time you were so angry at me was because I said we should wait before we coalesce around Ted Cruz. You literally shrieked like a little girl over that one, yelling at me for how stupid I was for not deciding for Cruz early. How'd that work out for you?

We have both agreed to support Trump for 3/4 of a year now, and you take umbrage at this tiny little disagreement about taking advice on how to debate and handle the media as if it were life and death. You disagree and now are going Captain insano like you did with me about Cruz.

Good grief, grow up.

I won't get involved in the current skirmish, other than to note that I know far more about our friends in the Media than most people on this site.

If I were Donald Trump, what I would have done is spent wheelbarrows of cash digging up dirt on enough various Media figures to launch strategic depth charges when the time came, after softening up the target(s). Donald Trump is smarter than I am. I have NO idea what he's up to - but I'm crossing my fingers that it's a doozy.

I don't know about the Ailes selection. Ailes could be a Ratfink, or not.

Time will tell. Both Trump and Ailes have a lot to lose in this partnership.

I can't believe that the Hand of Providence, and by extension our Creator, is going to desert us in this, our time of need.

Of course, our Creator might just give us the task of taking the trash bags out to the curb ourselves. :)

I think it's been conclusively proven that Sarah Palin is NOT an amnesty shill - nor ever was one.

Our Sarah is a Waller! :)

Lakeshark to DoughtyOne; kiryandil; onyx; KC_Lion

This harkens back to other times when you couldn't stand on your own two feet behind your own words.  Note that I don't call a host of people in to back me up.  I tell you straight up what I think with each post, and let the chips fall where they will.  Grow up.

I never once trashed you for Trump's immigration policies, not once.

Well, I appreciate that comment, but I never stated you did.  I reminded you of other times when you did trash me for backing the very same polices Trump supports now.  You stated I didn't have a good grasp on things, and I reminded you who was trashing what Trump supports now, years ago.  So if anyone doesn't/didn't have a clue, it would have been you many years ago and over a long period of time.

I did, however, trash you for lying over, and over again about Sarah Palin being an amnesty shill, which she was not.

Sarah Palin stated over and over that people could register and stay in place.  They could keep working in their present jobs with a work permit.  After six years, the law states they get to apply for citizenship.  So is that amnesty or not?  I say that it is.  If you want to parce words and claim something else, go ahead.  You'll look like a fool again.

What happens the moment an illegal immigrant registers with the government, when they are allowed to stay in place.  That means in that instant, they are here legally.  They do not have to leave.

That is amnesty.

You were wrong, I was right, and you're still pissed off about it.

You are so clueless.  You were wrong.  You are wrong.  And in the retalling years from now, you'll likely still be wrong.

Go pound sand, you sound like a whiny Ted Cruz with hurt feelings. Get over yourself, this is not about you, and you've been wrong far more than you've been right.

I was right about Ted Cruz.  I was right about Donald Trump.  Other than that, you're a sage.

Hell, the last time you were so angry at me was because I said we should wait before we coalesce around Ted Cruz. You literally shrieked like a little girl over that one, yelling at me for how stupid I was for not deciding for Cruz early. How'd that work out for you?

I announced for Trump in about late August last year.  I never supported Cruz for President.  Early on I did think he would make a good vice-president.  By October I'd already made up my mind he wasn't fit for that either.  I was the guy predicting Trump would wind up with over 1400 delegates.  So much for your accuracy.

We have both agreed to support Trump for 3/4 of a year now, and you take umbrage at this tiny little disagreement about taking advice on how to debate and handle the media as if it were life and death. You disagree and now are going Captain insano like you did with me about Cruz.

You are a nut-job.  I was hawking people to at least listen to Trump in June of 2015.  I never talked him down, and never talked up Ted Cruz.  You are confused.

This is not a little disagreement.  Ailes has deep connections.  If he wishes to telegraph Trump's game plan, he can reveal it to the DNC, Soros, the complete media...  You have already revealed you don't have the tools necessary to grasp that this is a potential big deal, but it is.  Trump may be planning attack strategy for certain intervals over the next 85 days or so.  With someone on the inside, Hillary can have a very affective defense all set when Trump does a dump.  A turncoat on the inside, can provide enough information to her to help her defuse the attacks.  You don't think that is a potential problem?

Good grief, grow up.

Says the child that can't remember our distant past dealings, our dealings over the last six to eight months, and is still confused about what constitutes a threat to our cause.

Roger Ailes is on record backing Megan Kelly's play against Trump.  Now you in your infinite wisdom can't grasp why I don't want him anywhere near Trump.

You think it's a great idea to have this guy on the inside.  What in the sam hell is wrong with you?

All you had to do is go on the record saying that you thought it was problematic too.  Instead you took the adverarial role and tried to put me down on the issue.

An ounce of prevetion, is worth a pound of cure.  Avoid Ailes.  He is an unknown, and you don't take an unknown into your inner circle.
