yup, she would have been a national figure by around now, with sponsorship of the Clintons, had she not gotten wrapped up in her stupid vendettas.

I don’t know the details of her specific case, but, here is what I think about how it works:
Their donors/owners tell their politicians exactly what to do. If they do it, they get away with their crimes.
However, if the politican does NOT do what his donor/owner demands, then those are the ones that get prosecuted.
