Not a valid defense. There are a lot of people in a Presidential or even Vice Presidential entourage. Giving someone a heads up on which of those people are carrying the nuclear codes is not a good idea, in anyones book. Terrorists know there are Air Marshals on flights, but hopefully aren't sure who they are. The examples could go on and on. It was a ridiculous thing to say, and totally invalidates the point he was trying to make (which was ridiculous and invalid to begin with).
He should have his bags packed and be tossed onto the sidewalk.
