Agreed. Outdated subsidies that the conglomerates inherit and inhale, when buying out the family farms, are a major problem. End that crap and let’s see where it all settles.

Cargill may be the source of higher prices. Offer low prices to farmers then sell high to makers of the food products we buy at the supermarket.
They are a $120 billion dollar company.

Price of hamburger seems to be pretty high. Maybe they need to put those cows to a different use.
Switch over to a beef operation with the cows and use the milking equipment for goats.
There is a rising demographic that might be buyers for goat milk.
Or a goat bordello. ;-)
