I agree with you.

My Wife & I were "tv free" before the birth of our Daughter but returns on the decision are now very clear.

Kids programming, via iPad is allowed but If she watches more than a hour of "shows", she becomes angry, anxious about not watching and disobedient.

She seems naive compared to other kids her age but her capacity for understanding& empathy are astonishing.

We play together and having my 6 year old say to me; "Daddy, I've completed my structure, you need to finish yours so the party can start" ... Where did THAT come from?

if you don't spend the time to teach, develop & show love to your children, something else, will.

We were tv free for 16 years except for a 12 inch hooked up to a vcr for Friday movines.

We invested in tons of cds and story tapes. Both educational and decent entertainment songs and stories. Kids each had their own player. Best life

and we read every morning and night for a couple of hours.
