It’s a good sign that Trump is campaigning in what was before 2016 a deep blue state as it likely means that he knows he can win Connecticut.

I was at that rally in Fairfield tonight and I stood in that line - on the hottest day of the year in Connecticut.

Inside that sweltering gym, thousands of Connecticut people stood for hours, some of them collapsing from the heat. I was there. I saw it.

I'm still blown away from the experience. In person, Trump is so much more impressive. And that crowd was utterly deafening.

There is no way that Mitt Romney, John McCain or any previous Republican nominee could pull a crowd like that in Connecticut in those conditions. I don't even think a Democrat could. It was brutally, brutally hot. I'm still sitting in my recliner and hydrating myself.
