A Republican internal poll released Thursday shows Democrat Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump in the state’s 3rd Congressional District, a stretch of eastern Kansas that Mitt Romney won easily four years ago.
Trump trails Clinton by a 44 percent to 38 percent margin, according to the survey of 400 likely general election voters polled over the weekend. Romney, a Republican, won the district by 10 points in 2012.
The Public Opinion Strategies poll was released by the re-election campaign of U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder, a Republican who has represented the 3rd District since 2011. The suburban, comparatively affluent district is the last Kansas district to be represented by a Democrat. Dennis Moore represented the 3rd District before Yoder.
A statewide SurveyUSA poll released Tuesday showed Trump’s support at 44 percent in Kansas to Clinton’s 39 percent. A mid-July poll, also by SurveyUSA, showed Trump at 47 percent statewide and Clinton at 36 percent.

Eastern Kansas is Lawrence, Wyandotte, and all the moderates in Johnson County. Not surprising. Trump will take the state. It may be closer than in the past but Kansas isn’t going for Clinton.

These polls are getting silly. Does anyone believe for a minute that Hillary is only down 6 in KS? Some of this narrative might be believable if not for the fact that it is so contrived and predictable.
For 6 months this race was essentially tied. Then voila, all of a sudden after the DNC every poll in every state is attempting to show Trump losing and losing big. And the GOP is so pathetic. What loser Congressional candidate releases an internal poll, not of him, but of Trump? I hate the GOP. After Trump, I am never voting for another Republican again, save for the occasional conservative that “may” turn out to be a good option.
Eastern Kansas = Wyandotte, Douglas, and Johnson County. Sad
KS 3rd Congrssional district is made up of mostly Johnson County, KS.
As long as there is a functioning 2nd amendment. Purveyors of voter fraud should be warned.

Eastern Kansas = Douglas County (Lawrence, KU) and Johnson County. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Maybe they think Trump needs a reality check, so he’ll work to defeat Hillary instead of himself. Maybe they want him to quit saying stupid things like that he want to increase the national debt to fund infrastructure spending.
