The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual Resource Center at the University of California Davis warns that some “words hurt” — including the expression “you guys.”
That common phrase is among a list of “Words that Hurt” detailed on the public university’s website. The expression “hurts” because it “erases the identities of people who are in the room” and “generalizing a group of people to be masculine,” the website states.
“Sometimes we say words without realizing the impact they may have on others,” it adds. “Take time to educate yourself about language and histories of oppression.”

What difference do any words that refer to a sex matter anyway. A thing with a penis isn’t a man unless it wants to be called that according to sicko liberals.
My high school coach used to call everyone “ladies” and “gals” just to piss us off and make us work harder.

That’s pretty common usage in a large swath of the country ... the part that they generally condemn.
Then say, "ewes guys".
The possessive of “you guys” is “you’s guys.” As in, “OK, I’ve got you’s guys order ready!”
“You guys” where I live is almost exclusively spoken by a young female to men and women. No one at the table seems to mind or even comment.
"Faggots" is easier to say and quicker to type.
BTW, “you’s” is pronounced “yoozes” as in my post #68.

I use the phrase a lot. It matters not whether I’m talking to men, women or a mix. It’s generic, like the word mankind is generic.
I suppose these idiots will now insist that ordinary folks quit using the term “colt’ for a baby horse, as it is sexist. So since some do not use the term ‘filly’ they will have to find another neutral term for a newborn horse.
