Hate to reply to a dead thread but my feeling was that I trust my gut instinct. And the FBIAnon stuff floating around a chan was pushing the CF heavily. So much in fact that many of plastered twitter with Foundation stuff a good 3-4 days before Comey’s announcement. Might have even been the monday a week before.
Normally I take that crap with a grain of salt but for some reason he seemed legit. But it’s not the kind of thing you can source. So I used the word feeling. While we don’t know where it’s going, the circumvention of the DOJ block is not a surprise. Now that doesn’t mean anything will come of it, and definitely I can’t see anything happening prior to November.
The implication was Comey would take one for the team on email but that the foundation mess was so bad that they wanted a way for the grunts to do the research. The grunt level folks it was insinuated have a lot of pride (remember this was before the Comey announcement) and do not like the FBI being given a black eye.
So could be complete nonsense and definitely not source-able material but I felt owed at least an explanation of where my feeling came from. My pinned tweet was retweeted almost 300 times and I’m not some big-time twitter hack but I was broadcasting the message it’s not the email servers but the CF. Except I used a funny meme to get the point across.
Not a damn thing is going to come of this - it’s all or nothing on November 8 - period
