Baltimore’s top law enforcement and political leaders on Wednesday vowed a sweeping overhaul of the city Police Department after a searing rebuke of the agency’s practices, which the Justice Department said regularly discriminated against black residents in poor communities.

Officials promised improved community relations, a purge of race-based policing and a modernized department that better trains officers and holds them accountable. But they warned that reforming an agency entrenched in a culture of unconstitutional policing would be a slow process and could cost millions of dollars.

You would think that Maryland would step in to try to preserve their 10th amendment rights, but it looks like they are welcoming the federals with open arms.

Baltimore will become the next East St. Louis.

“I feel certain the artist was a professional paid to do the mural and given the data to put on it”

That makes sense.

Reforms for a police department that suffered trumped up charges, lies, and had all their police charges exonerated in court.

In other words, they are remaking Martin Luther King Street into Main Street and kicking the police to the curb so the criminals can run the city the way they want without interference. Before too many years go by, the place will look and feel like Harare, Zimbabwe.

If all the serious and capable law enforcement officers weren’t ready to go before this, they’re running for the exits now. I see a surge in resume printing in the near future.

The “Justice” Department?

The folks who give passes to elites “in their clique”? Oh, how charming... they have the power to push around the little people... effing corrupt bullies. No one respects them any more... trashy people posing - - nothing more.

Certain segments are truly upside down and are lost.

When the black community lionizes a man who spent all his adult life poisoning and assaulting other black people, you see there is probably no hope.

Gov. Hogan is a Republican and knows better than to step into it in Baltimore. He knows that the Dims can’t make anything better, so it’s best he just leaves them to themselves.
