More than likely he just saved materials to thumb drive
He would not have sent them to Assange from work or his home computer. He may have used a public computer / library or lab. What time do they close? Would a bar have a public computer to use?

I use public computers at those Fed Ex offices when I travel... they are open 24/7, at least all the ones I have seen.
