Disgraced former CBS news anchor Dan Rather is out with a haughty statement on Facebook, urging all of his fellow news anchors and mainstream media editors to destroy Donald Trump and his supporters. “This cannot be treated as just another outrageous moment in the campaign,” Rather said, referring to the Republican presidential nominee’s comments about defending the Second Amendment.

We are allowing them to shame us. I am just as guilty as everyone else by not standing up for truth. We hide our true feelings so we don’t have to deal with unhinged liberals. We need to take a stand for what we believe and don’t hide. People need to see that this is still a movement and that we haven’t gone away. Trump is giving it his all for us and we need to do the same for him!
I hope it nosedived as bad as his career did.

The actual fact was that the Principle of the school did not wish to upset the children. He called a gathering of the kids and told them the school was now closed for the day. The kids cheered this. They had no idea of the tragic news. No better indication that I have seen of the likes of Rather. The quintessential knee jerk damning statement by a liberal.

This is getting way past disgusting. I can no longer publicly support a candidate of my choice for fear of damage to me and my property. Now they call for public “shaming” of anyone who dares to have a different opinion on anything. Is this supposed to make me sit down and shut up? I hate that I have to be a stealth supporter of Mr. Trump but I will be a supporter to the bitter end. The left better beware of what they wish for. They have already destroyed much of what we hold dear. Perhaps they should remember that people with nothing left to lose are the most dangerous.

Dan Rather is now 84 years old. Probably some senile dementia has already set in; but his partisan political nastiness has only increased with age. I wish he and his ideological ally Jimmy Carter would depart this earth soon. Their lives have helped diminish this country.
When that story first broke, I used Microsoft Word to re-create the fake documents and overlaid my copy on top of the faked ones. They matches up about 95%. The mismatch was from the artificial aging done to the fake. I still have those documents stored on photobucket.
