Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) says Donald Trump's controversial line about "Second Amendment people" qualifies as an assassination threat against Hillary Clinton.
[Snip]
Murphy was addressing a remark Trump made earlier Tuesday about what kind of Supreme Court justices Clinton would appoint as president.
"Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment," he said. "By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks.
"Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I dont know," Trump added.
Other Democrats joined Murphy in condemning Trump's remarks.

You poor dumb Yankees sure know how to pick-em!
How long before Paul Ryan and McCain say the same thing?
Malloy /Murphy / Blumenthal, Connecticut deserves all the crap it gets
If we had a Republican party, they could stop this. Ryan, with his nevertrump media cred could stop this BS. Sadly, he won’t.
Dems get sexually aroused over the weirdest stuff. As a non-Dem, what is it about a 5-10 blonde female, long neck long legs, nice behind, and large eyes they can’t get excited about. All it is is conjured threats against political hacks that turns them on...
Then Joe Biden and Hillary should have been arrested for one,Hillary threatening Obama In 2008 campaign, and Biden doing the same thing in a campaign stop saying if Obama comes for his pistol he better. Be careful he is good at the over and under
I honestly don’t know what Trump meant by his remark but I see how some could take it.
Murphy for those that don’t know him is a slime, greasy big mouth, this is connecticut, there is not a democrat here they don’t wet their pants over unfortunately, you can thank Connecticut for the Education department also established during the Carter Presidency with help from Abraham Ribicoff Connecticut Senator
I prefer hanging.
All of that is contingent on a hypothetical anti-RKBA ruling.
But, I would guess that 25-40% of the public thinks the press characterization is plausible - it's not plausible at all, but that's public idiocy for you.
So currently the law is narrow that virtually nothing short of saying "I'm am going to take my Smith and Wesson .45cal revolver that I have right here on my person, go down to the campaign rally at the corner of 5th and main at 12:30pm and shoot Mayor McCheese right between the eyes with the intent to end his life." can get you charged.
Trumps ill considered bloviating is making it all the more difficult to vote for him, rather than just against killary. Why make such unnecessary misstatements?
What he said, if you put it into cogent words, was that maybe “second amendment people” could do something about Hillary’s Supreme Court appointments, and that it would be a horrible thing if they did.
In conservative speak, “second amendment people” means those who honor the second amendment. In liberal speak, “second amendment people” means “gun nuts.” So the interpretation depends upon how you lean politically.
I honestly dont know what Trump meant by his remark but I see how some could take it.
trump is obviously letting the media finish his statements for some ulterior purpose; he’s not obtuse enough to not know how they will spin it...I have my suspicions, but that’s all they are...suspicions...
I honestly dont know what Trump meant by his remark
“Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I dont know,” Trump added.
My take is that Trump understands the purpose of the Second Amendment.
No filter. He can’t help it. But the congressman from CT is a douche.
He looks like a dime store mannequin!
