New doubts on Zika as cause of microcephaly
Science Daily ^ | June 24, 2016 | New England Complex Systems Institute

Brazil's microcephaly epidemic continues to pose a mystery -- if Zika is the culprit, why are there no similar epidemics in other countries also hit hard by the virus? In Brazil, the microcephaly rate soared with more than 1,500 confirmed cases. But in Colombia, a recent study of nearly 12,000 pregnant women infected with Zika found zero microcephaly cases. If Zika is to blame for microcephaly, where are the missing cases? Perhaps there is another reason for the epidemic in Brazil. According to a new report by the New England Complex Systems Institute (NECSI), the number of missing cases in Colombia and elsewhere raises serious questions about the assumed connection between Zika and microcephaly.

Recently, the New England Journal of Medicine published the preliminary results of a large study of pregnant Colombian women infected with Zika. Of the nearly 12,000 pregnant women with clinical symptoms of Zika infections until March 28, no cases of microcephaly were reported as of May 2

Maybe it’s Zika + Brazilian butt enhancement.

There is speculation the birth defects are actually due to the larvicide instead of the virus itself.

Many believe the larvacide is the cause.

"Naled’s breakdown product DICHLORVOS (another organophosphate insecticide) interferes with prenatal brain development. In laboratory animals, exposure for just 3 days during pregnancy when the brain is growing quickly reduced brain size 15 percent."

Near the end of the article is this:

” ... NECSI says the cause of microcephaly in Brazil should be reconsidered. One possibility that has been raised is the pesticide pyriproxyfen, which is applied to drinking water in some parts of Brazil to kill the larvae of the mosquitos that transmit Zika. Pyriproxyfen is an analogue for insect juvenile hormone which is cross reactive with retinoic acid, which is known to cause microcephaly.”

I’ve been asking this myself. It seems microcephaly in non infected areas in the USA averages 6-12 per 10,000.

It shot up in Brazil, but many of the cases were caused by alcoholism, pollution, and other things. Many of the children were actually normal and many simply frauds.

Why has this just now happened and not in many of the areas where Zika has been found in Africa, Asia and the South Pacific!

The whole Zika thing is a fraud. I just posted this article as I didn’t want to post my own thoughts and analysis from looking into it on a pro-Zika post only to be shouted down by most as ignorant on Freerepublic. I worked in a hospital for quite a few years and the propaganda and everyone jumping on the bandwagon is immediate and overwhelming.

I read this report a week ago and also had my doubts, but autopsies of microcephalic fetuse brains show large infections of the virus.

Yep, Zika is a fraud. Any time they can drum up an “emergency” they use it to embezzle money big time. The more heart rendering the better because people don’t question giving huge amounts of cash to something that is heart rendering, and nobody actually follows the money once it is given. Easy, easy prey for those who are expert at syphoning it off into their own pockets.
