Bell Helicopter is not just pitching its AH-1Z as a Tiger replacement, it also has its eye on the armed utility UH-1Y Venom to meet the deployable light reconnaissance and attack requirement. (Bell Helicopter)

Nice. I flew with a couple of Aussie pilots during my time. I’ll say this for them, the Aussies are some kickass helicopter pilots.

Once upon a time, I was a Marine Corps Officer Candidate. Wanted to fly Cobras. Didn't work out, so I enlisted instead.
I say to Australia, go for it !

A lot of F-16 pilots call their plane the ‘Viper’. Might cause some confusion in bars.

I always liked those Cobras. Love the sound over the trees. Waiting to spot them. Then when they’re directly overhead.

Cobra's an old machine, but still a wicked-looking critter.
Looks like the same engine on both the Huey and the Cobra. And weren't the original Cobras a two-blade rotor?

The ONLY shortcoming these birds have is a light payload.
