Video being described as horrific and graphic was released Friday in connection with the fatal Chicago police shooting of an 18-year-old car theft suspect as he ran away from officers last week.
The videos do not show the gunfire that killed Paul ONeal, but show the events leading up to and after the shooting, including officers firing at a moving car and ONeal bleeding on the ground.
Its disturbing and its violent and its scary, said ONeal family attorney Michael Oppenheimer, who called the shooting an execution. Again, Im asking for a special prosecutor Im not the prosecutor now. What I saw was pretty cold-blooded. Theres a lot of emotion there, Theres a lot of stuff. Theres no question in my mind they ran this kid down and murdered him.

Yeah, but we have all been reminded (and keep getting reminded) that if you’re and innocent young black male on your way home from choir practice or “delivering” a car for one of your buddies, having your hands in the air doesn’t do any good because the cops are gonna shoot anyway.
Yup. It’s not smart to steal a car. It’s dumber to take said car and disobey the police when they have a road block. It’s even dumber to flee the police with said car and then attack the the police head on and damage their vehicle. It’s suicidal to then leave stolen car on foot with the police in pursuit unless you can run faster than a bullet. But hey, what do I know. I am just a dumb white chick.
These videos don’t show where the shooting happened, and while there’s no doubt a police bullet did the job the headline misleads one into thinking the cops shot him in the back while he was on foot. We don’t know if that is true or not, and they were shooting into the vehicle.
The perp was driving totally out of control and if police rules of engagement do not permit shooting at a driver like they showed here, the rules are wrong. Maybe the cope were firing where they shouldn’t have, that’s up to the investigation to say.
Why did the Mitt-like reporter substitute “young man” for the statement that was read that said “black man”? Trying to edit the police departments racism? /s
Just another example of the press having become completely unreliable as a source of “facts”.
We don’t know all the circumstances here but generally using a vehicle as a deadly weapon justifies use of deadly force.
More Paranthropus Boisei misbehaving badly. Another of the seemingly endless number of dangerous, worthless, sociopathic blacks who just need to be shot in the head and hauled off to the garbage dump. Luckily, in this case it actually happened. True justice achieved! Now the sub-human won’t have to enter our beyond pathetic criminal injustice system where it would have been given a sleazy, morally challenged criminal defense attorney at our expense, who would have whined and cried on behalf of the sub-human that the sub-human should not be responsible for its own actions. (But your honor my client should not be held responsible for its own actions because it wee-weed in its pants when it was 9 years old.) Now the sub-human will not be sentenced to 1/100 the amount of time it should have received by some liberal judge, and will not be released early by some idiot parole board, and while in prison it will not be taught by other sub-humans how to be a better criminal. Now the endless cycle of criminal acts against the innocent will not begin all over again. No more will this animal maraud through the neighborhood terrorizing the innocent.
Kinda hard to not see it when it bounces off your left front fender at 50 MPH while being pursued by another unit.
Then again, you might be right. Surely the owner of a Jag would have full insurance coverage. I can guarantee there would be a lot less paperwork involved for a GTA report than what we have here now.
If only he practiced hands up don’t shoot. I don’t feel sorry for the perp at all.

I saw that too. The sad part is, these are the people that are supposed to be reporting the news.
No wonder this country is such a mess.
Typical Black Lives Matter “victim.” The little a-hole tried to run over the cops. Zero chits are given by the BLM fools if this piece of garbage “victim” kills a cop with his little stunt.
Maybe, just maybe if this kid, who I am sure was “turning his life around” sometime after he stole the car and ran from the police, didn’t commit a crime and flee. He’s be alive to talk about it.
Newsflash: if you don’t want to die at the hands of the cops, don’t commit crimes and obey lawful orders to stop if you do.
Only reckless if he cannot aim to shoot... oh, wait
Fleeing felons need shooting.
This way, they avoided any high-speed chase through the city, which would have endangered even more people. The guy would have been driving recklessly even if the cops DIDN'T chase him.
Grand theft auto is a dangerous game.
The court case that followed went to the Supreme Court who set a new legal standard for lethal force. The officer must have probable cause that the suspect poses a severe or deadly threat to officers or the public. Unfortunately, it also established a suspects right to flee the police.
Many departments have set policies regarding shooting at vehicles that are more restrictive than this legal opinion. The employment shown on the film clip here is very sketchy. As far as shooting the suspect later, the guy is a carjacker who showed no regard for the safety of others, intentionally ramming police cars, etc. Could that meet the Garner requirement? Maybe.
Forget “black”. This was just another rebellious human being thumbing their nose at God by going up against His “agent of wrath” (civil authority) and losing. God will deal with rogue agents in due time, but His wrath force will not be removed. Do wrong, and expect trouble from it. Up to and including termination, with the full approval of the LORD.
Back in the 80s I was walking along an interstate in Arkansas at night, not hitchhiking because that is illegal and futile on an I-route. I just needed to get to a Skelly that was 10 miles from where I started. A cop pulled a car behind me and I kept walking (I walk at 4mph forced-march) the cop yelled at me to stop. I kept walking. The cop yelled, “Stop or I will shoot your ass!” I stopped and turned around with my hands out from my body. He told me to come back and sit “there” while he dealt with the speeder. I did. I didn’t get shot but spent three days in a holding cell in a police substation in Little Rock without ever getting charged with anything. They figured out I had no money and no one to ransom me.
Been to the range with a lot of officers. 10 yards is their average limit of accuracy... and they know it. Not only that, but firing at a fleeing vehicle like that at that distance is reckless endangerment to that entire neighborhood no matter how you look at it.
Lastly, the young man was shot in the back with no weapon found. These are the kind of cases where reprimands are handed down and settlements are made. The public, in specific urban minorities, aren't buying it anymore. Once this all shakes out, there are usually some procedural issues and claims of 'snap decisions' followed by a system that is loath to prosecute law enforcement.
Our country has backed ourselves into one ugly corner. The police are targets of terrorism and gangs. They don't have the community support they used to have. Who in the hell would want to be a police officer now? You tell me how we are going to get our country back while we weed out the type of cop I just saw fire down the street like that. I wouldn't even want to be at the range with a guy like that.
That is why you will see the county and municipal cops replaced with federal cops.
