Ted Cruz Refuses to Endorse Paul Ryan for Congress
Breitbart ^ | 8/5/2016 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 08/05/2016 5:12:40 PM PDT by orchestra

JANESVILLE, Wisconsin — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a former GOP presidential candidate who won this state over current GOP nominee Donald Trump back during the primaries, is not backing House Speaker Paul Ryan’s re-election during his primary against Republican businessman Paul Nehlen at this point.

Cruz’s team, over the course of several emails on Friday, told Breitbart News the Senator would not at this time back Ryan for re-election to the U.S. Congress. It’s worth noting, though, that according to Cruz’s team Ryan has not asked Cruz for his endorsement. Cruz also refused to endorse Donald Trump for president, despite a primetime speaking slot at the Republican National Convention.

“Sen. Cruz likes and respects Paul Ryan,” Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier told Breitbart News. “He considers endorsements when asked, and in this case a request wasn’t made.”

I wonder how much Ryan had to pay Cruz to avoid getting that kiss of death?

No, I am a former Louisianian and a current Floridian, and certainly not a Canadian butt munching Texan like you.

I’m with you, brother.

Keep at it.

I’m amazed at what’s going on these days.

You seem to have some clarity.

Ya know, I was going to leave it alone...but I just can’t.

Here’s a bunch of folks who want to clear Washington of its fleas...get rid of ‘em all. The folks who’ve made promises and then stabbed us in the back are the worst of them all. And I agree with that sentiment.

They latch on to Trump as the man to do it; to clear the place out. According to them, Trump is the ultimate outsider.

For many of his supporters, anyone who criticizes damn near anything Trump says or does is excoriated. The wagons are circled and the invaders are repelled...no matter the truth of what is said.

And THEN, when Trump endorses a couple of poster kids of the RINO/GOPe, they twist into pretzels supporting that decision. You’d think when someone DOESN’T endorse one of them that would be a positive.

But no; in Cruz’ case, they somehow twist themselves into statements that make Cruz the confused one; the RINO; the insider; the one who just doesn’t want to get along.

Sorry, but I just can’t keep up with them.

It will be democrat voters that decide Ryan's fate. And Hillry supporters hate Trump along with the Ryan supporters. I do not see how Trump's endorsement helps Ryan.

Lyin’ Ted lost all claims to being anything other than a snake when he broke his pledge. Guys like you have fantasy that Trump will lose and suddenly people will see the light about Ted Cruz and start worshiping him like you do.

Here's what will really happen if Trump loses: Trump supporters and the GOPe will work together to toss Ted Cruz out on his lyin’ ass in 2018. Trump supporters will hate him for back stabbing Trump and the GOPe for back stabbing in the senate.

What?

What do you mean “...guys like you...”?

And why is it Cruz’ fault if Trump loses? Is it Trump’s fault that Cruz didn’t win? That Jeb didn’t win? That Romney didn’t win? Why is it someone else’s fault, but not Trump’s?

It’s not Cruz’ job to win the election for Trump. It’s Trump’s job to win the election.

Don’t be silly like all of the others. If Trump can’t get himself elected, he failed.

Maybe it was because he didn’t reach out to the right people, or appeal to enough of the right groups, or develop an effective ground game, or whatever.

Hey, maybe he alienated the wrong group of people! Ever think of that? Who’s fault is that?

But if he doesn’t get elected, it’s his fault...no one else’s.

Thinking otherwise is lefty/progressive/victim thinking. Instead of doing that, think like a grown up person...someone with critical thinking skills.

[BTW...is there anything in the world that you can even imagine that would make you change from being a Trump supporter to deciding that you couldn’t be that anymore? Anything? Think hard.]

>And why is it Cruz’ fault if Trump loses?

Because he broke his pledge and brought disunity and back stabing to the GOP convention. Ted Cruz honoring his word would have resulted in a lot more republican support for Trump. Instead Ted publicly dissed the GOP nominee and gave the media and Hillary new attack vectors. Conservitive don’t aid the Clintons. He’s sellout and a liar.

>[BTW...is there anything in the world that you can even imagine that would make you change from being a Trump supporter to deciding that you couldn’t be that anymore? Anything? Think hard.]

Sure, if lyin’ Ted endorsed Trump. I’d have to think long and hard about then.

Cruz has stated that the he only considers endorsements once he’s been asked and said he’s not been asked.

Lol.
