Especially hard to get rid of establishment incumbents in an open primary.

Remember Mississippi.

Yes, the only way Ryan can lose is if Democrats vote against him as well.

Paul Ryan will likely win easily. The very few real polls that have been taken have shown that.

Ryan doesn’t need Trump’s endorsement to win this district. Trump may endorse Ryan simply because he already knows Ryan will win.

The establishment was not worried that Ryan would lose. What they are worried about is that Trump once again shot himself in the foot by fighting with Republicans instead of with Hillary. He’s not going to win by criticizing Ryan. He just makes himself look bad.

I think that’s right, alas. Would love for ryan to lose.

But...Trump appears to be lagging on GOP consoliation. Would this help? If so...then he should do it.

Getting Trump to beat hilary is FAR more important than defeating ryan.

No, it's wrong to support either candidate before the primary. Trump would be wisest to keep on the good side of both candidates in all primaries. Add to that, Ryan has not denounced the "nevertrumpers" and has made statements that are kind to their sick endeavor.

Keep in mind Trump chose an establishment VP. And still, they kept piling it on.

I am not sure AMP Calypso is actually a polling firm. They seem to be a small investing and holdings firm with about 12 people working there.

Putting down the issue of who I would rather win, the only plausible scenario I can see is Ryan winning easily.

But I encourage people in the district to go make a strong a statement as they can, I just don't think it wise to emotionally invest ourselves in something that is not going to turn out the way we hope.

Sucks, but true statement. I still hope everyone see’s that Trump does it with his fingers crossed, to play nice, and Ryan still gets blown out. Best of both worlds.

Yes, Donald Trump needs to turn this around and persuade more people he is an acceptable alternative to Hillary Clinton.

Ryan sucks.

But Trump may need even treasonous allies to prevent a rigged stolen election himself.

Hillary is UNELECTED. Ryan is UNELECTED.

Hillary frauded Sanders and the people.
Hillary will fraud Trump also.

I say, let Trump run it. The goal is a Trump win amid massive fraud.

The only goal is a Trump win.

They will have to work together, if Ryan is Speaker of the House. Trump should have surrogates assess the possibililty of getting rid of him if Trump wins. If it is not likely, then you are right, it will cause issues. But if he can stage a coup, it should be done. Trump will be at the height of his power if he wins election. Ryan is just one congressman. His power is derived through the majority in the house, and it can be taken away.

The truth is, the only way Trump will succeed in what he wants to accomplish is if Ryan is removed from his position. Ryan is against Trump's signature policies. He will not allow them to get to the floor or pass. He will use democrats if he has to.

No, it has to be done.

An adversarial relation like many here desire will not be successful

What do you call success? I say to function as a government Trump must function with Ryan back home licking his wounds, wondering why he did not endorse Trump and stop supporting the Globalist elite.

[I don’t know what to think of it....]

MAYBE because if Ryan loses the media and their talkers won’t be able to blame Trump for his loss.

Regardless of whether Ryan wins or loses the Republicans will keep control of the House. I am seriously worried, however, that the Democrats will take over the Senate.

Under the 20th Amendment, the new Senate takes office on January 3 but the new President does not take office until January 20.

That means if the Democrats retake the Senate, Majority Leader Schumer will have over two weeks to push through confirmation of all Obama nominees from the Supreme Court to the district courts and there will be nothing the Republican minority can do to stop it.

Ryan isn’t going to lose this one....and Mark Belling isn’t all that influential when it comes to Ryan’s district. Yea, the WISN signal reaches all the way to Beloit and Janesville, but I don’t think there’s all that much market penetration down that way for Belling. Ryan is just a pretty popular guy down there and I think these polls are pretty close to accurate. I said he’d get 65% back on July 9 on a different thread.
