I’m a local leader of a boys outdoor adventure troop that’s part of a new national organization. When they started to consider uniforms, American Made was one of their goals. After much research, they put a poll out to members asking if we’d be willing to pay at least two times the cost to get American Made.
The decision was quickly made in favor of overseas manufacture. Due to the custom nature and lower quantities, a basic uniform is about $100. Doubling that would be impossible for most families so the change is understandable.
The liberals destroyed the US textile industry, and now the have the nerve to complain about it. Just one more reason to never, ever vote for a democrat.

The whining is NOW coming from the Republican side.
A blend of that (high taxes and unionism) and greedy companies (more profit from cheap materials from overseas) led to it.
We have lost the ability to clothe ourselves in America.
