Haven’t you listened to his speeches? He repeatedly talks about his growing admiration for Trump now that he has gotten to know the real man.
He is astounded at how well Trump listens and takes advice.
He prays with Trump and you can see they have a deep friendship in the making.

Pence gave a blanket endorsement for all Republican House candidates the other day. This is part of the Trump campaign strategy, not a solo move by Pence.
Pence is the guy who'll be working with Congress in a Trump administration, so it's a good move.
Part of campaign strategies from time immemorial have had the presidential candidate and the vice-presidential candidate playing a political form of "good cop, bad cop"....so don't let things like this throw ya.

Pence strikes me as valuable for being the opposite of impressive. Trump was not about to take on an out of the loop former in the loop wing nut like Rudy, Christie or Newt in there to champ at the bit to take over at the first temptation of some creepy talk show host or ‘journalist’
