But what we are in essence saying is, we are assessing it better than DJT.
That’s the part that I am learning to step back from how I view his moves, to more of a wait and see reaction, because he has access to more information, has better instincts than me, and has a proven track record for winning.
I have a bit of a different take on Trump’s endorsements tonight.
I think he always planned to endorse. But let’s say he endorsed when the press first asked him the question. What’s that going to get him?
He’d get the same negative press, he’d look like he was on the defense, Ryan would look like the winner. We’d only hear the analysis over and over.
What he got by saying I’mnot there yet? Every cable news outlet and CSpan covering his speech. (At least tuntil endorsement) and a large audience watching him look reasonable, presidential, and totally in control.
He got the biggest commercial buy and it cost him not one Penney.
Ryan and McCain will show their asses anyway and hopefully be voted out.
If I can add: I am very cynical and am suspicious about the behind the scenes wheeling and dealing going on. Have a gut feeling these endorsements are part of a bigger deal we know nothing about. I choose to sideline myself and let Trump run his offense. Curious to see how it all shakes out.
