New underground concrete barrier to encircle Gaza, stop terror tunnels
YNET News ^ | 3/8/2016 | Udi Etzion

An underground barrier to defend against Hamas attack tunnels is on the way following a call from the Defense Ministry for companies to bid to construct the new defensive line around the Gaza Strip.

The closed tender has been submitted to 20 Israeli contracting companies. The first part of the defensive underground barrier will go along 10 kilometers of the Strip, with plans to extend the barrier around the entirety of the 60 kilometer border with Israel – thereby completely encircling Gaza.

The concrete barriers will extend several stories underground and will include above ground sections as well. Besides being used as a physical barrier against terror tunnels which cross into Israel, the sophisticated barrier will also be able to detect tunnel digging close to it, something which will enable the IDF to destroy these terror tunnels before they pose a threat.

Our new wall along the southern border will hopefully be just as magnificent and equally jammed with border-protecting technology.

“Where will they get the labor with such a small population?”

Full employment.

Something unheard of...and even undesired by our elites...in today’s America.

good but..getting RID of the danger would be a lot better than just trying to fence it out

send them to Alluh (in HELL)! or at least send them packing back to their home countries (many Gaza occupants are from Egypt, others from Saudi Arabia, etc.)

the Egyptians and Saudis know how to deal with terrorist murderer gangsters like Hamas, Hezvellah, PA,PLO, Muslim Brotherhod, ISIS (all the same scum)

“How low can you Go”

Maybe couple the underground wall with some pipe ports, so using modern drill technologies they can manouver explosive charges in any direction from the ports!

BOOM! A new North Korean while meat import!

Better. There’ll be no going around this line.

I’m not sure how effective a barrier that is only 20 or 30 feet deep will be. Digging a tunnel a mile long, the initial drop of a few dozen feet and the rise back to the surface at the other end are the easy parts. Hopefully the detection system involves seismic pinpointing so a hole can be drilled to hit the horizontal portion of the tunnel, then pumped full of gasoline, set on fire to identify the endpoints and then pumped full of concrete.

If I were running things, I would build a wall all around Gaza, pump Gaza full of gasoline, set it on fire, then pave it over with concrete.

So will Republicans. Very few politicians can be trusted.

Maginot Line solution. Better to tell the Palis that every attack will cost them more territory until they have none left.

Seems they could do without the underground wall and just install the sensors. A cement wall makes little sense to me, they can dig right through that. Or under it. Why not built a moat filled with ocean water? Anyone digging under it risks cave-in and flooding.

Oh Please Team Trump are you lurking here?

This tech and the Israeli wall tech, can you get the Israeli firms as consultants / designers and hire our contractors here in a 24/7 effort to built it in less than 89 days?
