My two cents-reaction w/o reading the article.

When was the last time the Republican estabalishment got someone unambiguously elected?

Nixon 1972.

From then on it was

Reagan won w/o it 1980.

H.W. Bush won Reagan's third term 1988.

Running on his own lost to Clinton 1992.

Dole lost 1996.

W. Bush squeaked by in 2000 -- some still wonder.

The Islamists open war on us IMO was a large part of his winning a second term -- almost equal to that was his opponent in 2004.

McCain lost in 2008.

Romney lost in 2012.

And the Republican establishment is the authority on presidential elections?

Good point. Rush is making a great point right now: Isn’t this what the GOPe slobs wanted? Didn’t they want Trump to fail? Why aren’t they celebrating? Why intervene?

Clue: I wouldn’t vote for Juan McLame (even if he wins the primary) regardless of who is at the top. Enough is enough. We won’t have a Supreme Court justice choice anyway.

You take Reagan out of that list and it is wall-to-wall Uniparty since 1976. 40 years.
