The father of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq who is caught up in a war of words with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is an immigration lawyer who specializes in a highly controversial program accused of letting immigrants buy their way into the U.S.
Khizr M. Khan's website notes that he works to help clients with the E-2 and EB-5 programs that let overseas investors buy into U.S. companies and also provides green cards for family members.
It also said that he helps in the purchase of U.S. real estate and businesses. The website lists his ability to practice in New York, though it gives a Washington phone number for the lawyer who lives in Virginia. A man who answered the phone said the website was correct, though he would not identify himself.

Now, doesn’t it seem every time the Democrats toss shit
at the wall it’s always loaded with fresh caveats. Nothing
is ever as cut and dried as they would like us to
believe. This Captain Khan was killed in 2004!
Anyone recall Trump suggesting a halt to Muslim
immigration in 2004? I don’t. With what has
gone on around here in the past 12 years who is
to say that Captain Khan wouldn’t support Trump’s
position today?
During WWII the Japanese-Americans were treated
poorly in the US. I don’t recall reading about
all the patriotic JAs protesting against the halt
in Japanese immigration to the US from 1942-1945.
I recall quite a few JAs fought and died under
the US flag even tho, unlike Capt Khan, the
families of these soldiers sat out the War in
internment camps here in the US.
If I heard that on a Fox News roundtable I’d jump out of my chair cheering.

I never even heard what Trump’s comments WERE.
The only thing I could think of him saying was an off-handed comment about, “I wonder what his wife would have to say.”
(Personally I thought that was clever, considering.)
