Sadly, the folks in this district REALLY do not like Trump and REALLY do not like Palin.
Trump and Palin are risk takers.
Ergo...this quality is transferred to Nehlen.
These people in District 1 are not risk-takers and place loyalty on generational stability, seeing anyone that rocks the boat of authority as a threat to the sum of the whole.
As well, the Ryan/Priebus/Walker/Birthplace of the Republican Party runs too deep.
These people seem to still see Paul Ryan as the favorite son....lavishing on him the same rabid loyalty as they do the Packers, even when not winning...sure that at any moment, he (or the Packers) will snap back to glory, despite what their lying’ eyes tell them.
To them....Ryan’s record is just a transient glitch, where he will get ‘back on track’ as soon as Obama is no longer in office......this is the mentality.
Unable to connect the dots, I know that they do not see Ryan for who he really is.
However, they do see Ryan as a last bulwark against the threat of a Trump presidency.....whatever that means....(We have to ask Erick Erickson about that...or maybe Bill Kristol or Mitt Romney)
Paul Ryan even looks like Aaron Rogers.....neither can no longer produce for the home team.
Time to change QB’s all around for Wisconsin and for the Nation.
It would be a major upset for all the reasons you stated. But, in a low turnout primary, ya never know. Might just be enough ticked of Trump supporters that show up and Cantorize him.
I am SURE Trump won Ryan’s district in the primary!!!
Recall, I believe, that Trump won Ryan’s County during the primary, although Cruz won Ryan’s County/District during the primary although Cruz won the state. Found that to be quite telling.
Ryan's district
Primary results Trump is blue, Cruz is yellow
