Tell that to Austin Petersen. Your caricature is one dimensional and inaccurate.
The LP has a tendency to choose purity over electability. This time they chose big names over purity. I think it was a mistake, but I understand why they did it (not to win, but to earn easier ballot access in the future).
The LP has some good, young talent. See Austin Petersen, for example. He’s pro-life, wants drug policy controlled by local governments, opposes coercion in business (e.g., forcing businesses to bake cakes in violation of religious, or any other principles), believes we can stop illegal immigration by ending our welfare system, etc. etc.
I’m not saying I agree with Austin Petersen. I am saying that his following in the LP demonstrates the falsity of your one-liner.
