Why not preach to the choir?
For one thing, to keep hillary constantly uneasy about what Trump is going to say next.
The liberals are not persuadable. The election will be decided in a handful of states by undecided voters. Trump aims to outwork Clinton to win those voters’ trust and votes.
When you have almost 9 million followers on twitter and then retweets from those it is a bigger platform than any main stream news show. That’s why you tweet and that is why he is not having to spend money on TV ads that no one under 50 will ever watch.
Every legacy media journalist sees them.
The media reads them and it affects their coverage.
How much net good it does I can’t say but at least it gets his points into their consideration.

It’s called staying on the offensive, and using a medium lots of people WILL see, as well as pass along.
It beats hearing people complain about the press bias.

Trump has 10.4 million Twitter followers as of this morning. That's an increase of nearly 600,000 over the past two weeks (he was sitting at 9.8 million just before the convention).
So the choir is rapidly increasing in size. Don't forget that these messages are constantly getting re-tweeted by others, so many more people besides his followers are getting these messages.
I think this relentless activity is keeping his base energized and in the game. This is a good thing. I've set Trump's tweets to text me on my cellphone and I appreciate seeing his updates during my day - 140 characters at a time.
Four years ago at this time, the Romney campaign was already putting us to sleep. What a difference four years can make.
because if people retweet it to their not-Trump followers, they will see it. It’s viral marketing.
The liberal media air the tweets for the liberal twits.
A yuge number of lib civilians and Hillary soldiers (press) read and tweet on @realDonaldTrump. His messages get out far more widely than talking to the soldiers.
