Observers of Hillary Clinton over the past six months or so will have noticed an incessant coughing and clearing of her throat that has plagued the former first lady across that time frame.
During her headline speech on Thursday at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Clinton noticeably cleared her throat twenty-two times. In and of itself, it could be written off as temporarily being under the weather. Given its persistence, however, questions arise about the Democrats' presidential nominee. She seemed to have deliberately timed her throat clearing during manufactured applause directed by her audience managers.

I've been on it for years. I haven't experienced that possible side effect. I must be one of the lucky ones.

I intended to use upright, but I hated to use the term “upright” when referring to a Clinton. I should have used the term walking around. In my opinion, the day she departs this World should be declared a World Holiday. But I would not expect that to happen for two or three thousand years at least. She is too evil to die. They are too many demons residing inside her for that to happen.
My autoimmune disease causes hyper thyroidism (in remission now). The treatment temporarily put me in a hypo thyroid state: bad but not as miserable as hyper thyroid. There are prescriptions for hypothyroidism-I’m sure money is no object for her. Also, I know two women who treat their hypothyroidism completely through diet-both are lovely, slim homeschooling moms.
If she is running for president and hypothyroidism is her problem then she has less self discipline than a child. It’s easier to treat (and less dangerous) than hyperthyroidism from what I’ve read.
My mom coughed constantly while on it-had to switch meds.
FWIW, ACE inhibitors for high blood pressure, including lisinopril, captopril, and ramipril, cause coughing.
When you lie, steal, cheat and do the things this reptile has done in life, you would be doing all this also...

I realize I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m still undecided about the severity of Hillary’s health issues. My main fear is that too many people here will start to rely on this factor as the reason why Hillary will not win the White House. Unless she keels over on live TV in front of a large crowd, the media will never acknowledge her health as a concern. We need to assume that Hillary is in this race to stay, health issues or no health issues, and that we will have to fight for every vote right up until the polls close on election day. Do not assume that Hillary will drop out of the race because of her health. Do not take anything for granted. There’s too much at stake.

Not all hypothyroid is as easy to treat as typical cases.
There can be intermittent T4 uptake problems and even pituitary gland malfunctions. There can also be pernicious anemia and autoimmune gastritis interference.
My family has an extensive history of autoimmune problems.
Hypothyroidism couldn’t be more common—and is simply countered with common meds. Those symptoms only pertain if it is untreated—which would be very unlikely in Clinton’s case.
Common hypothyroid is easily and totally treatable. Of course there are other, much more rare diseases that can cause thyroid-related symptoms.
Hmm, No cough from Lisinopril, but I also take Albuterol Sulfate in 2 forms, Tudorza and Advair, along with other medicines. Could be why no cough. But, hey, at least I can walk distances good again! ;)
They dems have done it before. When FDR ran for his fourth term he was deathly ill and it was kept secret during the campaign. He died a couple months after his inauguration and was succeeded by his VP Truman.
Truman was kept out of the loop and had to scramble to get up to speed during a perilous time (1945).
