That's pretty shallow and shortsighted of you. We all understand and agree that abortion is wrong and Roe V. Wade was a horrible ruling for a great many reasons. We would all like to see Roe V Wade reversed in a Supreme Court Ruling. But this is about politics and campaigning. It might be more than you can grasp.
See, there are a great many issues that have carried Trump to where he is. There are a great many more he and Pence can dig into and even a truck load of issues that they can hang around Hillary's neck like a millstone. No Republican has ever had such a target rich environment for disparaging an opponent. So picking at THIS issue makes it a campaign issue for the Democrats, not the Republicans.
Pence did not need to make headlines and pull the media away from the focus on Hillary and the divisive dems. Let them hang themselves and pile on as you can. Don't come from left field with a new controversy issue. It gives the liberal media an excuse (like they need one) to take their eye off the real issues.
