Supposed To Be Democrats Big Week But Donald Trump Is the Focus
FoxNews ^ | 7/27/2016 | Bret Baier

“Two Hundred and thirty-five days since Crooked Hillary Clinton has had a press conference and you as reporters, who give her all these glowing reports, should ask yourself why,” said Donald Trump today in a press conference in Doral, Florida the morning after the star studded Day 2 of the 2016 Democratic National Convention

“I’ll tell you why, because, despite the nice platitudes, she’s been a mess,” the GOP Presidential nominee added on the nearly 1-hour presser carried live on all the cable newers. “I think President Obama has been the most ignorant President in our history,” Trump also told the reporters after the current White House occupant took a few swipes at him on Today. “He will go down as one of the worst Presidents in the history of our country, it is a mess and Hillary Clinton will be even worse.”

“I put myself through your news conferences often, not that it’s fun,” the rare away from a camera Trump asserted, noting he’d been watching the Dems on TV the past few days. “Just ask yourself why she doesn’t have news conferences and honestly, the reason is there is no way that she can answer questions because the job she has done is so bad.”

There are a lot of brilliant FR supporters who already know this and have very high IQ's just ask them. They tell us this many times over and over.

For those of us who are less informed, this video goes into the e-mail controversy where Trump is accused of encouraging the Russians to hack government servers to get Hillary's 33,000 missing e-mails. Trump is accused of gambling our national security. This is funny on so many levels but consider 3.

We were told by Hillary that:

1. The 33,000 e-mails were about Chelsea's wedding plans. 2. The 33,000 e-mails were about Hillary's yoga classes.

This begs the question how this has anything to do with national security.

3. Finally, how can any server be hacked since the e-mails resided on Hillary's personal server that has been destroyed?

The team outrage from the media was therefore a coordinated hit job that was so amateurish so as to be juvenile discrediting the media once again.

Or are the democrats in a panic because there was more to it than just yoga classes and wedding planning?

Can Trump shame the press into doing their Constitutional duty? I don’t it, their livelihood depends on serving their paymasters. But he can, as he showed yesterday, go right over their heads. The last Republican who did that was Reagan.

I watched Trump's press conference yesterday, and I thought he was amazing. He took dozens of questions, answered all but maybe one in detail (that one being asked by a reporter he said asked the same question at every opportunity), entirely off the cuff. He often took off on a tangent, using the opportunity to criticize Hillary or Obama, but then came back to the original subject for the finish.

The event was miked in such a way that the reporters couldn't be heard above the level of a mumble, which was great because it prevented them from making speeches disguised as questions, keeping the focus on Mr. Trump, which is as it should be.

Katie Couric asked a couple of questions. In the first one, she said something flattering about Trump's polling numbers, and he expressed shock - in a joking way - that she had done so. Then in her second question, she appeared to attempt a long-winded speech. Trump interrupted her as she droned on, and said "Look, this is about Hillary, and I know you're trying to save her..." before giving a scathing answer that must have left Katie a bit less than perky.

The whole thing was entertaining and informative.

He excoriated President Obama, which I'm sure was in response to recent comments by the President.

His comments about the Russians and his joking request that they try to find the 30,000 missing e-mails was maybe the most dramatic thing he said, but it was nowhere near the only dramatic thing he said.

Anyone who wants some fun should listen to the whole thing. I truly don't think Rush Limbaugh could have done any better. If anything, Trump was better than Limbaugh would have been.

Not since Reagan have I heard a candidate say so many things that I wish I could have said.

And as always, nobody will hammer the H-Beast with questions about what started the whole mess - why she set up private emails servers in her home and conducted State Department business on them in the first place.

One of the most important things he said was right at the end when he was talking about Obamacare. The costs going up, and new data where going to be published 1 November - an election deciding moment Trump called it - except for the case that Obama tries to have the publication delayed until 1 December.

Trump asked the journalists to keep this question alive, and not allow the president to blackout the information before the election. Not very likely, but I hope the bloggers and the Trump campaign keep this question at the front. Doing that will make sure it is a win whatever Zero does.

[...Big Week But Donald Trump Is the Focus]

Not if Faux News Sunday with Chris Wallace can help it, he’s got Crooked Clinton on for the ‘full owah’ post DNC convention.

Wanna’ bet she demanded the questions he will ask before she accepted this ‘long sought after’ interview by Faux?

Let the softball questions begin so she can ‘get well’ after her disastrous CONvention.

Finally, how can any server be hacked since the e-mails resided on Hillary's personal server that has been destroyed?

I believe their 'claim' was that the Russians hacked into the DNC emails. They may have extended it to explain Hillary's emails, or the public/media are just getting mixed up. The Russians may have also hacked into Hillary's emails back when her server was online, so....

The reporters don’t want to have a press conference with her either, because their softball questions and lack of follow up would make them look bad, too.

Hillary is going to have to do something pretty soon. Her poll numbers are sinking everytime her supporters open their mouths to support her. She does not have the talent. At least her husband is interesting, her speeches are boring and her voice drives people away.

Yes, that was great. He took time to scold and mock the MSM at several points, and no fair-minded person could find fault with his criticism.

His larger point about the mess that Obamacare has left was one he hammered on. He also said something to the effect that Obama was the most ignorant president in history, and that history would look back on him as the worst American president ever.

I think he should repeat the point he made in a past press conference about the way the unemployment numbers have been cooked to hide the economic effects of Obama's term in office.

He should repeat over and over that they are going to get to the bottom of the real unemployment situation immediately, on his first day in office. This is because you know the political hacks in the labor department will suddenly decide to "overhaul" the way unemployment is calculated if left to their own devices, and that this "overhaul" will show a massive surge in unemployment commencing immediately on the day he is elected, in November. The MSM will immediately cite this as proof that businessmen around the world are terrified of Trump's policies, particularly those concerned with illegal aliens. He needs to deal with this preemptively, to set the table for one of the many dirty tricks that are coming. At least this one can be anticipated.

Just a nitpick, but what Constitutional duty does the press have? I checked my copy and the only place the press is mentioned in the Constitution is the First Amendment, which affirms, of course, that we have a right to a free press, but confers no obligation on that press.

Now if you want to argue that the press has an ethical duty to inform the electorate about relevant and newsworthy events, then I wouldn’t argue with you.

That's the funny thing. Every time she opens her mouth, she loses votes.

Think about it. She starts out every campaign as the overwhelming favorite. By the end, she's neck and neck, or losing. That's why the DNC had to clear a path. And she still almost lost to a Socialist old man, who isn't even a Democrat!

Her only chance is to keep as quiet as possible; or control the environment.

That's why the debates will sink her. If they think Richard Nixon had camera problems, Hillary has speaker problems. She might even demand the debates be done in silence with Closed Captions.

That's why the debates will sink her.

I think they'll bail on the debates and take their chances.

They know she'll be blown away by Trump in a debate. Any Candy Crowley-type nonsense will be deep-sixed in about two seconds. She doesn't have a prayer.

They will probably fasten on some Trump remark as a pretext for declining to meet, claiming that "it would demean the office of the President" for the future first female Commander in Chief to deign to stand in the same room as Trump.

Perhaps they'll offer to have a debate on Twitter, by text message, or some such. Then Hillary can her more intelligent staff members deal with questions that would otherwise leave her doing the neutron dance jitterbug like she did a couple weeks ago.

It was a reference to their appearance in the First Amendment. Great power conveys great responsibility.
