IRS looking into Clinton Foundation 'pay-to-play' claims

The IRS confirmed in a letter it is looking into claims of “pay-to-play” practices at the Clinton Foundation, after dozens of Republican lawmakers requested a review of potential “criminal conduct” at the organization founded by the family at the center of this week’s Democratic National Convention.

Commissioner John Koskinen wrote in a July 22 letter to Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn that the issue has been “forwarded” to the IRS “Exempt Organizations Examinations” program in Dallas.

“This program considers all referrals and will send you a separate acknowledgement letter when it receives your information,” he wrote, in a letter first reported by The Daily Caller.

It’s unclear whether the agency might take any further action. The letter noted that, under the law, they could not reveal “any actions we may take on this information.”

One would hope the Clinton Foundation gets the same treatment the Tea Party got. Like publication of doner lists for starters.

If those IRS investigators want to remain alive they won’t find anything and if they do they’ll destroy the evidence.

The foundation will be cleared after a thorough investigation and a random airplane meeting between Bill and Koskinen wbere they chat about golf and the weather.

Hillary has to get elected in order for the Clinton Foundation gravy train to keep pumping illegal cash into her bank account. If Trump gets elected, she’s going to jail. Lock her up and change her fashion to a striped jumpsuit.

Actually, this would be something the FBI would be looking into.

In case you’ve forgotten, IRS is involved with taxes. So any investigation of the clinton org would only concern whether income/expenses were reported properly, taxes were paid, and whether or not it can have tax exempt status.

That has absolutely nothing to do with a “pay to play” scheme.

The IRS didn’t go after Charlie Rangel for his tax evasion.
He was pretty blatant about it.

This will end up like the FBI investigation. More of our tax money spent for another dog/pony show.

More Kabuki theater.

This is designed so that the IRS can then claim "after full investigation" the Clinton Foundation "dindu nuffin' wrong."

Yeah....SURE they are!

This is a smokescreen, intended to give cover and “balance” when they leak all of Trump’s 1040’s to the media.

The Director of the FBI has already written the case summary. It begins with the words, “We, after a through and impartial investigation have discovered no evidence that the Clintons intended to do any wrong. And ends with, “We recommend that this case be dropped and no further action be taken.”
