Trump Calls On Russia To Hack Into Clinton's Emails (NPR)
NPR ^ | July 27, 2016 | Jesseca Taylor

Posted on 07/27/2016 12:37:12 PM PDT by Drango

Trump urged Russian agents to "find" his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's emails and release them, an unprecedented move by a candidate for president encouraging such a foreign breach.

"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," the GOP presidential nominee said at a news conference in Miami on Wednesday. "I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press."

Trump was referring to the ongoing controversy surrounding the private server Clinton used while secretary of state.

Separately, the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this week was upended by a release of hacked emails from the party committee believed to have been orchestrated by Russia. While the motive for intrusion and release of emails isn't known, many Democrats have speculated that it's a possible attempt to influence the outcome of this year's presidential election.

Pressed by NBC's Katy Tur as to whether he had any "pause about asking a foreign government ... to interfere, to hack into the system of anybody's in this country," Trump dismissed that idea and told Tur to "be quiet."

Clinton's campaign responded in disbelief and outrage to Trump's comments.

"This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent. That's not hyperbole, those are just the facts," Clinton senior policy adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement. "This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue."

The Trump campaign appeared to try to clean up Trump's comments with a statement from his running mate, Mike Pence.

"The FBI will get to the bottom of who is behind the hacking" of the DNC emails, said Pence. If it was Russia, "I can assure you both parties and the United States government will ensure there are serious consequences."

The Indiana governor called it "outrageous" that Democrats were "singularly focusing on who might be behind" the breach and not the fallout from the leaked emails, which resulted in the ouster of Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz after some revealed the DNC was rooting for Clinton as their nominee and worked to handicap Bernie Sanders.

But then Trump, taking to his usual medium of Twitter, doubled down on his comments earlier just minutes later.

In the press conference at his own golf course, the GOP presidential nominee again said he hoped he could work with Putin and threw cold water on the idea that the Russians were behind the DNC hack.

"I'm not going to tell Putin what to do. Why should I tell Putin what to do?" Trump retorted. "He already did something today where he said don't blame them, essentially, for your incompetence."

Former CIA Director Leon Panetta called Trump's comments "totally outrageous" and questioned his loyalty to the United States.

"You've got now a presidential candidate who is in fact asking the Russians to engage in American politics," he told CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

"I just think that that's beyond the pale," Panetta, who is backing Clinton, said. "I think that kind of statement only reflects the fact that he truly is not qualified to be president of the United States."

It's really funny! They think the Russians hacked the DNC and released them, so this plays into the news. I am loving it. Great memes....

On MSNBC they were interviewing a DNC delegate who said that Trump supposedly not seeing the gravity of email breaches by foreign countries proves he shouldn’t be president. That this obviously applies far more to Hillary, who left the door open to Top Secret documents for hackers, was totally lost on the woman. She clearly has no sense of irony.

The press lies continually about Trump, and they don’t even bother making their lies rational. In context, he was clearly talking about a hacking job that he thinks probably already occurred. Obviously, there would be no point in hacking her email now, when the FBI could find nothing of the deleted materials.

It is a little sick that the press—and it’s hardly just NPR—would make up stuff like this. The problem for the media is that many people like us watched all of Trump’s comments and know that they are B.S.ing us about what he said. That only destroys their credibility even more. They need to stop showing his speeches and press conferences, because they can’t lie convincingly when people have already seen what he actually said.

First time ever! (LOL)
Socialist bulwark media “The Nation” disagrees with NPR:
“representative voices of the liberal establishment have joined with the forces of neoconservatism to engage in what can only be described as McCarthyist rhetoric. ... This neo-McCarthyism now threatens to derail a vital debate over the substance of the 20,000-plus e-mails, made public by WikiLeaks on July 22, that reveal the purportedly neutral Democratic National Committee’s derision and contempt for Senator Bernie Sanders’s campaign—as well as several aborted attempts to tip the scales against him. “

Right, and supposedly, there is nothing to hack now since there is no server to hack now and the FBI has already released everything they could reconstruct.

First the funnies, then a little history lesson for NPR; Panetta (whose best friend was a secret member of the Communist Party USA and former U.S. Representative from, where else?, California, Hugh DeLacy; David Gregory who is running for the slimiest news smear artist of 2016; Jake The Snake Sullivan of the Clinton campaign, etc.

NPR - National Pubescent Radio
NPR - National Puke Radio
NPR - Never Present Reality
NPR - National Propaganda Radio
NPR - Nationally Revolting Radio

OK: Listen leftist idiots, the teacher is in. Winging this without my prime source, a congressional hearing from the 1960’s or early 70’s about Soviet anti-Goldwater propaganda operations during the 1964 presidential election campaign.
(I reserve the right to revise this when I get the actual publication).

The Soviets had several Communist Party USA operatives in the US who put out Soviet created or even CPUSA created “disinformation” products from forgeries, misinformation about actual events, to total fantasies. One film featured a child and a mushroom shaped cloud.

This was attributed to a CPUSA/Soviet operative in Chicago (I’ll leave out the name until I’m positive it was this man, who was not only a CPUSA member and Soviet propaganda distributor in the US, but also someone who “knew” Barack Obama in Chicago).

This film played on the Soviet line that Goldwater would start a nuclear war. You can Google this issue and see what comes up. I will and get back to you.

Other items apparently from the Soviet KGB operations shack were disseminated to newspapers in the US.

Now, for more current Soviet/KGB efforts to interfere in US elections, you can try to find the following reports and two congressional hearings/reports that I will list below. They reveal a lot about Soviet operations in the US and which CPUSA fronts carry them out.

US State Department publications:
* “A Report on the Substance and Process of Anti-US Disinformation and Propaganda Campaigns”, August 1986

* “A Report on Active Measures and Propaganda, 1986-87”

* (printed form) “Soviet Active Measures in the Era of Glasnost”, A Report to Congress by the United States Information Agency, March 1988

* “Communist Forgeries,” Testimony of Richard Helms, Senate Judiciary Committee, June 2, 1961, p. 80

* “The Soviet and Communist Bloc Defamation Campaign”, Remarks of Rep. Melvin Price (R-Ill), Congressional Record, Sept. 28, 1965, p. 24478

* “Soviet Covert Action: (The Forgery Offensive),” Hearings Subcommittee on Oversight of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Feb. 6, 19, 1980

* “Soviet Active Measures”, Hearings before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, July 13, 14, 1982

Book: “Dezinformatsia: Active Measures in Soviet Strategy”, Richard H. Shultz & Roy Godson, Pergamon-Brassey’s, 1984

* “CIA Report on Soviet Propaganda Operations,” Report to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, April 20, 1978.

* “The Forgery Offensive”, Feb. 1979, US Govt

Possibly congressional hearings on “Communist Party Activities in Chicago”, several such publications including 1965 about Leroy Wolins (CPUSA) and David Simon Canter (CPUSA). Both were distributors of Soviet propaganda publications in the US and refused to register (as all importers of foreign govt materials are) as agents of a foreign power.

Panetta (as former head of the CIA), should know that what Trump said was a joke but that the Soviet Union had long covertly interfered in US elections.

David Gregory is a total prick, a legend in his own mind and a disgrace to journalism.

The jerk Sullivan from the Clinton campaign is a total fool in his own right.

NPR will always take the Left Road when given a choice of going straight down the Objective Road. A good reason to defund them ASAP.

And if you don’t think that the Red Chinese haven’t gotten their red hands into several elections in California and New York for U.S. representatives, then you lefties are absolute fools who should be institutionalized for life.

Class dismissed for now. There will be tests on what I have presented after you do your own research on what I said.

The DemocRATS have to continually think about Trump. He sets the narrative, the pace, the topics, and the subject matter. The DemocRATS respond by talking about him. So even the DNC convention is about Trump. He is a fierce, fierce fighter.

Trump is coming after them with body blow after body blow. It is going to continue right until election day.

This is the best of Trump shredding the bs and leaving the guilty slithering away the stage.

He did this with Jeb and the evil Bush Co family/henchmen and the other pretenders during the primaries and the debates.

Then, he sucks the air/PR away from the guilty. He did this during Clintoon’s highest moment of her campaign, her coronation by the DNC!

New line Rats calling Trump treasonous... LOL so let’s see If you put classified information on an unsecure server that isn’t treason but the guy that asks the people that hacked the server to return the classified information is somehow treasonous? Democrat logic is nonexistent.

If Russia leaked the DNC emails, it’s probably to avoid dealing with yet another DOP POTUS of questionable competence.

To myself at #127: My sentence about the child and the mushroom shaped cloud film being a KGB operation in not accurate. This was made by a bunch of Democrat liberals according to a very long and sourced entry in Wikipedia.

The operation I must have been thinking of was the SOviet propaganda efforts to blame the killing of President Kennedy on rightwing American extremists. A lot of books putting forth this position came from foreign Soviet operatives and American communists.

I’ll still try to find my original information on Soviet disinformation operations during the 1964 presidential elections.

it no longer exists. Trump's point flew over your head like it did the media.

The FBI didn't release any reconstructed (deleted) emails. All we got to see was the emails that were not erased and turned over to State.
