Mail-in ballots can be requested here, I think, but I really don’t like the idea.
We’re represented well here so it was an easy choice who to vote for. No gubernatorial race this time around.

I had a day free of obligations so decided to do something fun. :-) Would have been more fun if it had been cooler outside. LOL

Now just kicked back watching Ghost Busters and eating ice cream. Good way to wind down.

We shall see!

Lynn-Dah, of course, will stay at her “Country Club”, which she seems to like almost as much as the one in Florida.

It’s very fine like sugar, too.

We camped at a state park at Panama City Beach when I was a kid and it seems the sand was white. But don’t quote me on that. I’ve slept since then. LOL

I lived along the NC coast several years ago and that sand is coarse and brownish. Not nearly as pretty but hey. It was still the beach!

Great!! Y’all need the rain!

LOL! Sounds like you do what we do with the cars .... let the rain wash them. We’re on a well so we don’t like to use water unnecessarily.

She is not afraid of the bike, but she has no use for it.

My Maltese (back in the 90’s) was the Biker.

He had his own leather complete with patches and pins.

Pensacola is another place we’d camp when I was a kid. Seeing the glowing water the first time freaked me out.

I almost married a girl from Lake Jackson, Texas. Sweetest little girl I ever knew. She took me to the beach in Galveston and I could not believe how bad it was. Brown sand and brown water. I would not even think about going it.

Now South Padre Island is better, but still can’t touch the NW Florida beaches.

Daddy came back from WWII, farmed for two years then went to work at Tyndall. We lived in Panama City for 7 years. When Daddy transferred to Eglin, we moved back to Walton, County. We really liked Panama City but it has changed a lot.

LOL! Defuniak Springs. Brings back the memory of one of our trips to see Dad. We hated the interstate so found a nice state highway route that’s a straight shot from here. BUT, we missed our turn at Florala and ended up in Defuniak Springs. That was ok. We just hit 90W and got to Ft. Walton easily enough.

We didn’t get downtown though. That’s a nice courthouse. I hope they’ve kept it up over the years.

They added an annex to the courthouse years ago. They then have added several satellite offices. The Sheriff moved the jail about 5 miles north of town.

While DeFuniak Springs is the county seat, South Walton county has grown to where that is where the population is.
