Michelle Obama chooses a custom Christian Siriano dress for her Democratic convention speech

Michelle Obama went as low-key as Melania Trump had gone high-style, choosing to deliver her convention speech in a cobalt-blue silk crepe A-line dress with cap sleeves.

The dress, custom-made by New York-based designer Christian Siriano, who shot to fame after winning the fourth season of “Project Runway” in 2008, fell to just below the knee and was paired with a pair of metallic heels that industry trade publication Footwear News identifies as Jimmy Choo pumps.

She’s a vile human, but she looked great last night. Better than she ever has, honestly.

Whatever....She looked like the vulgar angry hag she is. Totally classless. The only outfit that would improve her looks is a full-length burka.

Someone recently called a Hillary ensemble a ‘Romulan Couch Cover’ - my husband thought that was hilarious. I looked up pictures of Romulan attire, and they were right ;-)

She should donate the black widow spider dress to the multiple Obama libraries they’ve been collecting donations for.

I agree. She clearly had a team come in to vamp her up after seeing Melania last week.

Why else would she wait until one of her final addresses as FLOTUS to start looking like a woman?

the black widow spider dress

Actually, I kind of liked that one too....except, of course, for the symbolism it displayed.

One thing I will praise Michelle for is making wearing feminine dresses fashionable. This seems like a nice attempt to dress conservatively and not steal the show.

What I don't like about this dress isn't the collar; its the sleeves. A full-framed lady needs longer short sleeves or it appears as if her boobs are sagging.

Can you imagine what four years of hillary's elephant-clown costumes would do to the sense of fashion in the US?

I am wearing khaki green heavy cotton slacks with a touch of lycra in the weave, from Christopher & Banks, probably around 2010, bought on sale for $20 or less. Then a top that is probably way out of style or nearly so, also from Christopher & Banks from an online clearance sale, was $10 or less about 4 years ago. It is a little fancy, with some beading and sequins around the Vneck; the main fabric is a “dark” print that has the olive/khaki green in it. Some shoes by “Earth Origins” that are Tstrap sandals REAL LEATHER, purchased online from Famous Footwear with a gift card received last Christmas. I think the shoes were about $23.

This is one of my more expensive outfits LOL. Yesterday was black slacks from Dress Barn and a top I sewed myself for under $10.

These are my “work clothes”. If at home, usually a pair of PUMA gym-style shorts, navy blue with white side stripes, that are at least 10 year old, and a random Tshirt.
