Negotiations are underway to have Bernie Sanders officially nominate Hillary Clinton for president at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night, a move that would further signal party unity.
According to a source familiar with the talks, the Vermont senator would nominate the presumptive Democratic nominee after the roll call vote that will be held on the convention floor.
NBC News first reported the negotiations.

This could backfire bigtime seen as the ultimate humiliation of Sanders by the party ....being forced to bow and scrape to Clinton...

these people are insane. everything they do is designed to further enrage Bernie supporters, ranging from the Hillary campaign employing the disgraced and hated former DNC chair, DWS, to forcing Bernie to publicly sacrifice his principles on the alter of Hillary’s corruption.
Contrast this with the brilliance of how Trump dealt with his lingering opposition: he allowed their leader, Ted Cruz, to hang himself on national television, thereby triggering a backlash of Biblical proportions that essentially incinerated Cruz and his cohort of traitorous anti-Trumpers.

Insanity breeds insanity.. Example: The DNC.
By nominating Hillary at the Convention he becomes an even bigger puppet for the DNC. This is only going to further alienate Bernie's supporters.
