They seem feminine because they ARE feminine.

John Haidt “Moral Foundations Theory” researched primitive tribes as well as modern society and found that everywhere everyone fell into two groups.

The male or conservative thinkers based their thinking and lives on 6 principles:

The six foundations

Care: cherishing and protecting others; opposite of harm.

Fairness or proportionality: rendering justice according to shared rules; opposite of cheating.

Liberty: the loathing of tyranny; opposite of oppression.

Loyalty or ingroup: standing with your group, family, nation; opposite of betrayal.

Authority or respect: obeying tradition and legitimate authority; opposite of subversion.

Sanctity or purity: abhorrence for disgusting things, foods, actions; opposite of degradation.

The female or liberal minds only cared about the first one or two.

The conservative mind he thinks was developed for tribal relations, the second one was for care of the immediate family.

I’ve posted this material here and I found that more than anything else explains the very different way liberals think and see things.

He has a book: “The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion”.

He has a great talk on TedTalks on this topic.
