The United States Army, one of the architects of the recent Turkey coup plot, would have built a new military base at the zero point of the Turkey-Syria border, if coup plotters were successful in overtaking the power of the military, intelligence, police security, legislative and judiciary institutions in Turkey.

The junta regime would have allowed the U.S. military to establish a military base near the Syrian border, if the coup didn't fail, sources said.

As millions of Turks continue to swarm to the streets after foiling a military coup attempt, shocking information about coup planners and their masterminds continue to be revealed.

The CIA's 'Safari' Team of coup schemers

Sources close to the investigators of the failed coup attempt said the CIA established a special team with the code name of “Safari" to operate the coup plot process.

General John F. Campbell, a former US commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), organized meetings and preparations that lasted over eight-and-half-a-months before the Turkey coup.

Campbell was the head of the Turkey leg of the “Safari" special team established by CIA for commanding junta in Turkey.

Doesn’t ring true.

Why would they attempt a coup with pro-muslim-caliphate Obama still in the White House when there is great hope that Trump will become president in only 6 months?

This is total BS. The retired American General who supposedly slipped back into Turkey and ran the coup on the ground was photographed by the paparazzi having dinner in NYC with Geraldo Rivera when it went down.

All pro-Islamic, anti-US BS.

The funny thing is, I could see the C-in-C of the US Army pulling a stunt like this, topped off with some Fast and Furious legerdemain. Only this isn’t some micro-state, it’s Turkey. Even Obama would not bite off so much more than he could chew.
Which leaves homegrown or Russian imported mischief. Putin would probably enjoy destabilizing Turkey and Russia is the only country with the advantages of geography and resources to do it — plus the motivation.
But if it’s Russia at the bottom of it, destabilization is just the first step and that failed coup was no failure, it was only the beginning.
I also wonder if Erdogan’s reaction doesn’t play into Putin’s hands. So much new management all at once in so many key positions throughout the government...a mega distraction and a mega clusterflock all at once.
Just saying. A gamer wouldn’t be pleased with the stats of Turkey right now. Russia’s prospects, however, would be bright.

The bigger question is why is Erdogan trying to implicate the U.S. and the CIA instead of just blaming Fethullah Gulen and his local operatives.

That means nothing.

That said, the question is why is Erdogan pushing this story?

why is Erdogan pushing this story?

He's losing it? Or may not be around for long? Or both.

More likely he wants to make Turkey a strict Islamic country again, and break all ties with western society.

effective propaganda.
When we have a slacker fool in charge no one will dismiss ANY claims out of hand. At least not claims that we did something stupid.

That's what I would think. His blaming America is a polite version of "death to America" which is a signal to islamic hardliners across the ME.

By blaming America, he burnishes his image as a strong horse.

Some are already claiming Erdogan is the Mahdi.

slipped back into Turkey and ran the coup on the ground

They are not even suggesting that he led the coup from within the country, but rather that he orchestrated it.

Thus the so called alibi is not an alibi at all for the actual accusation.

I do not believe the accusation that retired Army General John F. Campbell had involvement in the coup attempt. I do believe the accusations that Erdogan did have involvement in the attempted coup. It had to be a setup because it was poorly organized and was too easily defeated.

If anything, the Geraldo alibi makes the General look all the more suspicious. It's just a little too convenient.

I don't think he is guilty...but you never know.

Erdogan recently prepared for making himself “the moon” (Badr) of Islam.

Tala’l Badr (here arises the moon) is the most significant chant in Islam.

Watch Erdogan sucking in the rays of being moon-Mahdi while looking like the ancient Sultans of the Ottomans

They not only blame him, but the CIA and the exiled Imam living in Pa.

If the general & the CIA were involved, or either one on their own, I doubt it was ordered by Obama. I find if hard to believe that a general would get involved on his own. Especially when he was close to retirement.

The CIA, perhaps, but again highly unlikely.

Now I am in no way suggesting that my thoughts are gospel. They are just my thoughts.

Accusing the American general helps in his plan to blame the West and move Turkey from a wonderful secular Muslim country, very friendly to the West, to one that is the seat of the new caliphate.

Evil is on the march

According to this report, the coup planning began last year when Jeb was still in the running. That military base would have been there for multiple US presidencies. From a neocon point of view, a big base on the Turkish Syrian border would have been just what the doctor ordered. They are losing in Syria big time. The real question is was the US involved at all in previous Turkish coups ?

And it wasn’t really a Dutch Communist that set the Reichstag Fire.

But in the end, does it matter? People will believe what they want to believe.
