The really freaky attack was on the Tokyo Subway system, the attempted poison gas attack.

There’s a lot to admire about individual Japanese people you meet and there’s a lot to admire about their culture.

Unlike America , security is rarely required in Japan due to extremely low crime rate / cases of violence . For example , the front doors of schools are opened during school hours and there are no security guards . No such thing as LOCKDOWN , etc...This was an extremely rare incident .

Miscellaneous factoid: A satoshi is a unit of currency, equal to one one-hundred-millionth of a bitcoin. It is named after the inventor of bitcoin.

I understand you were using sarcasm. I am sorry for the other people who are hammering you about the comment.

Must be very early in the morning for them. They need more coffee, or something.

Also to ban boy-scout knives. No lad should be allowed such dangerous weapons.

Japanese aren’t white and don’t have to put up with the guilt of the 3rd Reich and slavery and inventing everything.

The Japanese in WWII were every bit as horrible as the Nazis, if not worse.

What you said. We come here to read posts on the subject, not chest poking bs. Take your spat to private messaging.

Anyway, sounds like possibly an overly compassionate, unbalanced soul relieving old folks of their suffering.

There are mosks all over Japan.

Interesting because when I commented that this could be yet another ISIS attack I was told the Japanese don’t let Muslims in to their country.

There may be as few as 100,000 Muslims in Japan (out of 120 million people), almost all foreigners. Japan imports oil and likes to export to countries with wealth. Business is business.

Whatever the strict legalities, Japan is not bent on suicide by Islam the way Europe and America are.

I travel to Japan often and unfortunately security usually means hiring some 70ish old man who sits is a chair all night and couldn’t stop a child and is more of a liability than help. The suspect apparently tied down staff before stabbing the mentally disabled patients who couldn’t communicate. It’s the kind of “this doesn’t happen here” attitude that allowed the guy to be discharged too easily despite his threats, and for him to carry them out.
