Colorado GOP delegates won't campaign for Trump
WND ^ | 07/25/2016 | Art Moore

Posted on 07/25/2016 3:35:16 PM PDT by detective

Jim Gilbreath and his fellow Colorado delegates came to the Republican National Convention “praying for a miracle,” hoping the rules might go their way and allow for a “white knight” candidate to take the place of Donald Trump.

As he headed home to Colorado Springs on Saturday afternoon at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, he told WND that while his party has confirmed Trump as the nominee, he and many others in his delegation are not on board.

“I can tell you that from the Colorado contingent, there will be quite a few people who will not be out helping Trump,” said Gilbreath, who describes himself as a pro-life, pro-religious liberty and pro-Constitution activist.

“The activists are the social conservatives, and they are the ones that are embarrassed to put the (Trump) bumper stickers on their car. How do you win? You can’t.”

In Colorado, Virginia and other swing states, he said, “you’ve gotta have people out there doing the work.”

Does anyone understand these never Trump people?

First, they brag about how conservative they are. Then they say they want Clinton and the Democrats to win.

They’re a tiny, disgruntled minority.

The Berniebots hate Hillary as passionately as #NeverTrumpers hate Trump.

Its a wash.

It is obvious that they are not conservatives at all. One might not like Trump, but he is much more conservative than Hillary. And Hillary is corrupt.

Like VA, CO is such a sad state politically. Neither have had anyone much good in state office for so long.

Meh.

The Colorado 'Republican' Party has always been mediocre.

The fact that these crybabies want Hildabeast as president changes nothing.

Regular Republican/Conservative Coloradoans will vote for Trump in spite of these self-important 'delegates,' and these ass-clowns can go pound sand vigorously.

Signed, Former National Delegate from Colorado.

I honestly do not understand them.

Dennis Prager is one of the few people that was strongly opposed to Trump that really gets it. He’s always saying things like “Do you know that Trump will appoint a pro-abortion, anti-gun justice? I know that Hillary would.”

I can’t decide if it’s marijuana or cat-litter-boxes that make some people politically moon-batty. Maybe both, in the case of Colorado.

re: praying for a miracle

Maybe God answered their prayer and they aren’t listening.

Maybe Wayne Allyn Root is right.

I sure hope they don’t mind having to spend their lives dealing with the WRATH OF TRUMP, which both Cruz and Kasick are condemned to.

Perhaps Trump will be proven to be a paper tiger, but if I were those delegates, AT A MINIMUM, I’d have my trade-school applications submitted, so that I could at least feed my families, after Trump gets through with me.

Bottom line - either we are a POLITICAL PARTY - or we are not.

This election isn’t going to be decided by bumper stickers and yard signs.

Andy why do the #neverTrumpers always have to announce their juvenile hate every chance they get?

I see commenters on other sites posting their anti-Trump tirades on every article, regardless of the topic.

Thanks to Jim for weeding those types outta FR.

You think you’re going to get any of that with Hillary?

These guys are Psycho-Assholes.

Any GOP Delegate, or member that does not support and wlii not campaign for him is a Democrat masquerading as a Republican. And Hillary and obama supporters and voters.
