This is not well known but has been a practice for a very very long time when it comes to politics politicians and Democrats.

Washington state has a governor named Gary Locke and his wife was named Mona. Mona was a former TV anchor on one of the local channels in Seattle.

I work in a grocery store and one of the Seattle post-intelligencer, now out of business printwise and only online, writers was one of my customers.

When Gary Locke was running for governor Supersoft fluff piece was written and printed on page 3 of the Seattle p i. I mentioned how that was a really nice puff piece you guys put in your newspaper and I should probably declare it on Gary locke’s campaign contribution disclosure form.

The writer replied to me we did not even write that story it was written by Mona’ secretary or office staff member and we printed it unedited. She told me all this with a big smile on her face.
